  1. good coaches adapt to the players that are here. if matt floyd can't do it then he can bring a juco from the west coast for all I care. his resume is solid.

He has NO QB's on his board, both HS and JUCO, that would supplant any of our current guys, believe it or not. Unless he works his magic on Woulard (who I think only comes back if Taggert is coach), you're looking at an offense that will be WORSE next year.

  2. If he goes to the SEC in a couple of years then we'd be getting our moneys worth people and we would be able to pay Taggart more because we'd be in the ACC most likely. We don't need anybody long term right now. We need to get noticed by winning.

Ok, then picture this: Matt Floyd or one of the Eveld brothers in MacIntyre's system. Think about that then come back and tell me we'll get noticed by winning.

  3. How are you even comparing Taggart to this guy? He took a similar 1-11 team to 10 wins in three seasons not 7-5. His offenses dominate and defenses are stout and played WAY better competition than Taggart. Your clueless.

Holtz also did this at ECU. And Holtz was getting outrecruited in this state by Sun Belt schools. Macintyre also got to recruit in Cali, which is far better than BOWLING GREEN KENTUCKY!!! WT could have a mindblowing effect on recruiting here. Every (and I mean EVERY) school in the local area and branching out LOVE Willie T! And he has the ability to be successful on Saturdays. I'm not saying MacIntyre isn't the guy. He very well could be. But the ceiling for Willie Taggert is much much higher!

Also, don't forget, Willie will be coming back home! Macintyre could use us as a stepping stone back into the SEC. Thinking both short and long term, I feel Taggert has the edge.

  4. But what style qb does he employ. If its spread we are basically set. I don't see Woulard as a true spread guy...

Rather hes a prototypical guy that has he ability to run as a second option.

Jordan Lynch is BJ Daniels size. Threw for nearly 3,000 yards and ran for another 1,800 and 43 total TDs only 5 picks. Freakish numbers, should've been a heisman finalist. IDC that he was a MAC player. Doeren may run a spread type offense, but every QB dreams of putting up numbers like that.

  5. Nc state just hired the NIU coach... What kind of offense did that guy run?

The same coach when NIU played USF in the International Bowl? Has to be a different coach.

Jerry Kill was coach of NIU when we played them in the Int'l Bowl. He is at Minnesota now. It's a different guy.

That different guy is Dave Doeren. Possibly the worst possible signing for us to have happen to NC State. You will CRINGE at the numbers NIU's QB put up.

  6. Sad thing is i saw a bulls.fan talking **** to AW telling him to go to nc state and i qoute "you pos "....what a disgrace. i did get a good pic with him

Wow. I can't believe that. Why would a fan say something like that to arguably our most important recruit in school history? There is not a BCS level QB on this roster. We need him desperately. People are freaking clueless.

I cosign this. I saw the fan say it as well. He seemed a little intoxicated and VERY angry. Asiantii just kinda gave him a look. But after tonight, I feel very confident AW is staying put.

  7. Same player as in year 1

    Exactly

Same player as in year 1

    Exactly

When have we ever had a QB improve from year 1 to year 4? Certainly hasn't been anyone the past decade plus.

    Marquel Blackwell

Blackwell played his four years the past decade????

    he said plus

I said decade plus, referring to the past ten seasons plus this current one. I'm not counting Blackwell in my point.

why not just say "since Blackwell"

    quit being so grouchy

Not being grouchy. I should've just said "since Blackwell." I just love how people see this guy as such a terrible QB. I guess we should place an asterisk next to his name if he passes Grothe on the all-time total yards list in the BE.

  8. Play calling / Game management was horrible. Skip blew thru the Time outs early in the 2nd half only to need more time because they could not run out the clock, Gave Louisville Time after we took a lead late in the game and our defense went into hybernation. Than we put the game in BJ's hands with NO TIME OUTS and little time.

Horrible all around. This has been the case since Holtz's first season. Look back to all the home games we lost in the past 2 years plus this year.

Time to Bench BJ, Get the back up QB Time to develope. Fire the coacching staff to let the recruits know we are going to do whatever is needed to get back to winning. If we Keep Skip and company we will start seeing players decommit. Think about the future!!!!

We don't have a backup QB that will start next year. Holtz is certainly pulling the "give me one year with MY qb recruit as the starter" card. Woulard will be the starter next year unless he goes elsewhere.
