Whew. Reading all the above makes me long for the days when dueling was de rigueur.

I lost a bet on this game. Can I get my money back?
Vegas doesn't give ashit what the NCAA thinks. If it was a bet with a friend, I'd bring it up

Don't bet Vegas. It was a bet with a friend but, if I bring it up, I don't think they'll be a friend any longer.

Won't really miss Pitt, the 'Cuse or WVU but I also wouldn't miss anyone else in BE other than Louisville. Wake me when we are the ones leaving, then you might have my attention.
-
I don't see what is so crazy about the pick. Geno is a stud and could very easily have a bigger year than Jones. WVU did hang 70 on a decent Clemson team last season.
I'm not a big Geno Smith believer but against the Big 12 stalwart defenses he may ring up 100 per game.

I got one of these in green as a gift. I got in a lot of trouble from the presenter for suggesting the Guy Harvey-version bull looks somewhat -- ahem, shall we say, "effeminate." I don't like the look of a bull who appears to be wearing more eye liner than my bride.

These preseason tailgates are a great chance to connect with fellow Bulls fanatics. Just attended the Hernando County Roundup this past weekend and now looking forward to Pinellas event. I wish these would spread to all area counties.

As a college football fan, I'm happy to see this finally happen, as a USF fan, wait and see...
this is terrible for the sport
On this one, I have to agree with Smazza. I think this begins to spell the beginning of the end for everyone not in one of the big 4 power conferences. The imbalance of costs to revenues will continue to grow and, eventually, about half of the current FBS programs will no longer be able to afford to compete. This process will likely be expedited by the seemingly inevitable move toward payment of scholarship athletes. Like everything else in life, enjoy it while you can. The world as we know it will be ending soon.

All,
Just got back from USF
Got Row D Sec 114 near center. All the center seats seem to be going fast. I would guess the GJ section is half taken
Thx

I got Row C, Sec 114 today, also near the center. Don't be spilling beer on my head, now...
There are only a few club seats left, and they are located beyond the endline.
This put me in a huge quandry but in the end, I chose the crappier seats in the Club section ... hope I don't regret it.
I don't think you can go wrong there, Trip. The sight lines from the corner angles were still pretty nice and the seats are pretty darned comfy. I almost made the change to the club area before I left.
I don't think I can either but you know how buyer's remorse can sometimes be. I am on the end where we shoot last and jus low enough to be in the rows that appeared to have a little more leg room than the higher rows ...
You are kidding, right? You have seats in the amazing Club section of a vastly improved Sun Dome anticipating a season from a team that has shown real life for the first time in 20 years. As a USF basketball fan, there can't be anything wrong about that. Count your blessings. Look forward to seeing you and some 10,000 odd other faithful followers at the games this year.
Shirley you jest. Opening night and maybe one or two BE games if we are playing well.
I only go by Shirley when I dress up for special occasions. But a girl can dream, can't she?

When I look around the college football landscape it looks to me to be on the downhill slope, particularly for those outside of SEC, BIG 10, Big 12 and Pac 12. It looks to accelerate once the pay for play movement takes hold. Let's just win it this year so I can go ahead and die happy.

In speaking with one of the Associate ADs regarding football students and academics, although the SATs of incoming freshmen isn't significantly higher since Skip came in, they seem to be different type students in that they are more concerned about academics. So this upward trend should continue in the near future.
Just to be clear, if someone can run a 4.3 40 and has good hands, he must be really smart, right Skip?
-
This is hardly the exciting matchup I was teased with but, whomever whenever, it should be a good atmsophere with a packed house.
-
Silver, were there a lot of seats available in the GJ section across the way?
As of my selection, almost all seats selected appeared to be in the Club Section. Green Jacket was wide open as far as I could tell.
-
I am now the very proud owner of 4 Club Seats in the new SunDome!!!! The process was painless and fun (mainly because I was so excited). Thanks to everyone at USF associated with the organization of this process. I got exactly what I wanted - in fact the exact seats I wanted from when I toured the Dome. I think most of you will be pleased with the selection process. Now off to work!!!
Thats it? What the hell kind of report was that??? How many seats were still available in the Club? Without inviting stalkers, what area of the Club section did you get in? Is the GJ area very popular? Did the Go to meeting procedure not allow any asking of questions?
Hopefully SilverBull is looking out for us with some info ....
With the 61st pick of the 2012 USF SunDome Select A Seat Draft, Silverbull selects Section 102, Row F Seats 11 - 16 (13-16 of which are going to a higher-ranking priorty points friend). I went at 9:30 am today and the Club Section was going fast, with all seats along the center aisle gone and Section 103 substantially spoken for. There were still some pretty good seats in 102 with the closest to the center aisle being 4 seats in. Facility is looking great. The parking issue is still being resolved. I was asked to settle up today.
-
Has anybody on here selected yet? I am up 9:30 am tomorrow and hoping for the best. I'm told the club seat central aisle is all gone but there still should be some good seats.
When you say "central aisle" do you mean the whole center section or just aisle seats in the center section?
I mean seats on the aisle in the center section, i.e., half court, where I had seats in the old dome.

All,
So does that mean donors to USF can get good seats?
Thx,
jonpfl
I would think so. I got an email for a presale for some other show recently.
If it is like most other popular concerts all tickets will be purchased by scalpers approximately 0.0005 seconds after they are released for sale through Ticketmast and then you can buy them for 4X face value on Stub Hub.
-
He performed at the last concert I saw in the Sun Dome. Tells how old all three of us have become but the Dome's facelift seems to have worked out better.
-
This is an interesting, worthless projection. I'm not sure how anyone ever handicaps the Big East, particularly point spreads an entire season in advance. The conference is usually a mess, albeit a very competitive mess.
Perhaps the motto of any would-be Big East champion should be "Avoid Sucking".
-
I found a link about SEC and Big Ten expansion. It's quality. I'm believing it.

I must be missing something. I'm not sure what there is to "believe" about this since it is simply an opinion piece on who the commentators think those conferences should consider.
-
The answer is easy: Donate a $#!+ load and get seats on in the lower bowl on the 50. Win, win.

Finally read more fully the Phil Steele analysis.
Florida State No. 1
Florida No. 10
UCF No.15 and top-ranked non AQ team
USF No. 20 and Big East champ
Four in the top 20? I think Phil has spent to much time in the Florida sun.
So now Bowden is back on top in wins?

Coming from a USF / FSU alum, can we just leave this to Eddie Robinson, or even the Bear?
