If I keep marching Barnett? Dude-- I am not their coach--- I have no more control over this clusterfudge as anyone else
I don't give a sheet anymore--- you guys are giving me **** likee I was defending this team-- NOT THE ******* CASE -- just tired of the game day only idiots coming on here and pointing out the obvious crap we have already agreed is the problem as if they are football geniuses.
BC the Mon-Fri peeps are the professionals who really know what’s going on.

Undersized line and a great secondary- let’s go 5 wide!

It’s almost like if you don’t establish the run, they will pin their ears back every time

D can only do so much..

is this the thread where we crap all over our own team-- awesome
Is it crapping all over the team when it’s true? Just honest observations.

I’d rather roll w mccloud and struggle. Barnett is clearly not the answer:

Nobody is scared of our passing game
Good thing our run game is dangerous

Love the 4 yard routes on 3rd and long!

Horrible 3rd down call, great 4th down call
-
FYI- seems like YouTube tv has a free 7 day trial w access to the ACC Network... think I’m going that route.
-
I know it was partially financial-related to keep CCS, but yikes...

Sweet Jesus. Who was the cat who had us winning by double digits.

Play calling is just ****..

Well, I for one am stoked I get to watch Strong on the sideline for another season.

Doesn’t matter if we can’t put some points up..

Some responses to what has been said since I made that silly prediction......
* CCS is Mark Kelly's guy now (like it or not)-- he had the chance to cut ties last December when it was pretty cheap to do so but did not-- so he has taken ownership of this hire imo. We had outs.
* Unless I missed "Win a conference Championship" stated directly somewhere (likely), I have always considered the CCS hire a band aid hire of sorts-- a convenient hire of a well known name coach with the old school footing most of the bill for the first two seasons. If anything, he was the replacement bus driver of the CWT USF era.
* If CCS loses his job at USF this season, I think his next job is retirement from coaching in general. He is not a young man. I get the impression he is a bit worn out on coaching sometimes. It is not like he needs the money or the headaches that college football provides. Just a gut feeling. It is part of the reason I felt we had the collapse last season and why I was hoping we cut him loose in an effort to bring in some new blood. Perhaps that is Kerwin Bell - something has got to give. PS-- I can't really see CCS transitioning to working in TV-- he just isn't that dynamic on TV. You can fall asleep watching his press conferences after a game.
That said, I am trying to be positive heading into this season and hope for a decent season.
TDS clarified that a cheap buyout was inaccurate. And concur that 7 wins is right for the over/under. Think 9 wins is just as likely as 5.

Well first, as already been seen, the players are getting larger (including on defense). Second, the offense will be better this year which always helps the defense. Third, if you are going off of last year, Wisconsin was pretty predesterian and they did not make any significant changes either. Fourth, three of their four loses were on the road (and they should have lost to Purdue on the road winning by three). I am not saying that USF will win this game, but believing Wisconsin is just going to come in and roll right over us? I am not buying...
Understood.. I’m just not there.. there aren’t a couple juco DTs and LBs coming in the door. I still have memories of Marshall running a train on our D.

So the defense will be the same as last year? College football is predicated on the team being a duplication from one year to the next with no change? Interesting theory you have there...
Honest question; what has changed about this defense that makes you feel more confident that they will significantly improve? I think J Taylor is gonna go Dalvin Cook on us.

This team could be improved from last season and still finish below .500.. I think some of y’all are a little too deep in the forrest. We’re probably underdogs in about what, 8 games?

Log on after a short hiatus, read that arguably our best RB is switching positions.. (Logs back off)

I don't think anybody wants 25 2 stars... it's the lowest valuation. Unless you meant to say25- 3 stars... That would be the only way the comment makes sense.
No, I meant what I said. A class of 25 TWO stars would rate higher than a class of 10 FOUR stars. Rankings are partially based off of total recruits, not just quality.

I thought him dropping the ‘no IPF excuse’ was weak sauce... That said, the way they calculate recruiting rankings is a joke. I would rather have a class of 10 4*s than 25 2*s. Guess which of those classes is ‘ranked higher’?!
