I like how we bounced back. we never looked rattled today. 

I like what i am seeing. This is team is mentally strong. they believe in each other, I love this!!

Good to say is playing like this again. This was a domination and we didn't play that well. We left a lot out there. 

Its good to see this type of effort again on the field. They look much more aggressive this year. 

I was reading the posts this morning looking for a smoking gun that pointed to ineptitude on our administrations part. I did not find one, so I waited for the official statements. I was upset, but I am glad that I waited.... I would have walked away as well.

I saw it today as well. they did a great job and it was nice to see Rocky at a non USF even.

The people in this thread that think this new AD's actions was appropriate are also the ones that think that USF has the ability to FORCE more conference realignment to happen. All we can do is position ourselves in the best position possible, so when the time comes for more change, we are ready.... WE ARE NOT IN COTROL HERE. WE NEVER WERE. We cant force decision makers to change their minds right now.

I wish we were in the position to needing to pay for unused tickets... it sounds bad but it also means we had a great season

She's the president of a university that has improved its academic profile as much or more than any other state school in the country during the same time. I understand this is a football centered forum, but calling her anything less than an absolute success is ********.

I was s student during the transition from the Castor years to the Gennshaft years. night and day by the time i left. night and day since the time I left and now. She is a top notch president. sorry the original post is rooted in one item of the dozens that a university president is responsible for. she has excelled everywhere else. the athletics slump is not her concern. Replacing the guy who is responsible will be her responsibility...when that time comes.

no its based on current circumstances. We are here until we are not here anymore. they arent kicking us out, so we are here until we get an invite somewhere else. 

I am encouraged. We'll be back to a bowl game next year and playing for a conference title in two to three.  

This kids wants it and has the ability to deliver! I like what I see so far.

 

Hopefully they'll have the same rate as success as GT does with their "whiteout" games.  Seems like they never win when they do those gimmicks.  Georgia did a "blackout" several years ago in Athens last time Alabama played there and got blown out.  

 

May it be so with USF and UCF.  

 

I believe we beat FSU during a whiteout for which we had to give permission.

 

Only becuase they wanted to wear their white jerseys at home which meant we had to agree to wear our home jersey on the road.

I bet that Coach Willie T thought he had a different team than what he took over. The spring game probably did look that bad as it was crap vs crap. The Mcnese state game was the first test and he was like.... holy crap this team sucks!!! LOL

Seriously though, this year is about rebuilding.

For the record I think its fair to compare skippy to Kragthorpe. Its not fair to Krapthrope.... just saying.

The team he was left with was softer than I thought. All of Leavitt's guys are our except for a few redshirts here and there. This is all of Skippys guys and they are getting beat out by freshman..... SOFT!!! No way I let a freshman beat me out. They all have skippys attitude. "oh well try harder next time, if that doenst work, wuit and try again the next time". At least the freashman are hungry for playing time, the upperclass men dont want it, their too scared to be successful.

I am happy with the first half results. I know Evelds numbers are dreadful, but he does have a few dropped passes. I am very happy with the defense. Our conditioning looks great. MSU is the team that looks tired right now. The temp there is in our guys favor, it must feel like winter and no sun to scortch them! Keep it close and cause more turnovers. We have a chance to pull this one out.

 

 

AAC - MWC merger is still one that the networks won't pay for. USF needs to get into a conference that has a few brand name programs... Every P5 conference has at least two universities that have some brand name behind them... the AAC does not, and that is the problem. We need a brand name.

Other than what slpsi63 recommended with the addition of BYU, what brand names do you recommend? Navy, Air Force and Boise are probably the best brand names USF can hope to attach themselves to given what we ARE WORKING WITH.

What I am saying is that we need to be attached to Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, USC, Oregon, Michigan, or Ohio State type of brand name, and we can only do that if we get into the P5. In the meantime, we need to dominate our conference and become a brand name of our own as best we can.

 

We could do that quicker by beating teams like BYU, BSU, Cincy, instead of Tulane, Swap some crap out and replace it with better teams.
