  1. You seem like nice enough chap so I'll just ask where did you come up with that tidbit of "information"? State split in half and state vs state .... trying to equate our possible "rivalry" to those two is a losing battle. No, it won't ... 1.Well our Universities our generally very similar academically this can be looked up on collegeboard.com this year UCF has a slight edge, but it varies. However I've talked to a few people here at UCF probably like 5 in all who said that when they applied to USF after the two strong seasons they had USF rejected them sending a letter saying there had been a large increase in applicants due to the success of athletic programs. No offense, but it would be interesting to see exactly what those letters said ... You would be more accurate finding me an example where the 4th and 5th most successful football programs within a state have a huge rivalry ... Maybe Texas or California has one, I honestly don't know. A fair try but there is no possible way to spin this that USF recruiting is improved by adding another in-state BCS school ... It is not logical.

  3. Mike, you imbecile, what's the biggest difference in those scenarios and ours? Those 4 schools affected the majority of college sports fans/graduates in their respective states at the time those "deals" were done ... Relatively speaking, nobody gives a **** about this but the 407 area code. The Guv probably can't keep who is who himself ... This coming from someone who's school in the much larger Tampa Bay Area is virtually invisible? Here is USF's "announced" average attendance in basketball this year: 3,307 (most agree the actual crowds are just a fraction of that number) Plus, your BCS Football team can't even fill up half their seats in their own 65,000 seat plus stadium. Actual USF Home Football Attendance in 2010 as noted by the St Pete Times: Stony Brook: 32,870 Western Kentucky: 29,939 FAU: 28,946 Syracuse: 30,344 Rutgers: 25,755 Pitt: 30,999 UCONN: 30,815 You moron, that doesn't negate the point I was making .... Hell, it probably reinforces it.

  5. Wow this has dragged out so long....I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I have seen some variation of this exact post. Reminds me of a scene from Airplane. Nice ...
  6. Thanks, I was wondering when this would be ripe for the move ...
  7. Gotta love the ignorance in the typical UCFer... Chad's kind of special .... even for UCF fan.
  8. There ya go .... If it's so freaking obvious that even Sileo can see it, I'm not sure what else one needs.
  9. And the UCF administration ..... You'd think they'd have enough professionalism to not even respond ... not unexpected, though.
  10. Right, Chad, she comes out and denies everything and it just goes away .... :
  11. Because it's a non-issue ... Why give any more attention to the knuckleheads? If multiple media outlets demand/seek out answers, why not just go on the record one time instead of the shroud of silence? That lends itself to more questions, right? That's a very liberal use of the term "media outlets" ...

  13. Of course when Bianchi was reporting on the whole controversy with Erick Plancher, they were all screaming "LIES!" and ready to boycott the Sentinel. I don't know why they're acting so surprised. Did they expect us to be lobbying FOR them? Would they do any differently if the roles were reversed? How is it good for us to have them in the Big East diluting our recruiting? For an extra 15k for 1 out of 6 home games? PUH-LEEZ. Besides, USF is only 1 vote. All they need is 6 votes from the football members and theres not a **** thing USF can do about it. But who else is gonna vote for UCF? Louisville just got a coach with Florida roots and over half of their 2011 commits are from Florida. West Virginia has 5 recruits from FL and their roster is already littered with FL players. Same with Rutgers. Sorry UCF, as much as you wanna tout your school size and facilities and on campus stadium....all that takes a back seat to politics. To quote Michael Corleone: "It's not personal. It's strictly business." Nicely put ... and it's an extra 15k for 1 out of 12 home games ...
  14. Doesn't mean he couldn't get to the NFL there ....
  15. You're exactly right ... We should have told T Rex, "Screw you!" last year. Ha, show me how TRex was doing anything this kid is doing. Waiting until the last minute which you obviously construe as not knowing what he wants and not having a desire to be here ...
  16. You're exactly right ... We should have told T Rex, "Screw you!" last year.
  17. It's not fun for the schools he does not choose. They'll get over it ... 8-) Palmolive, please .... it has a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness.
  18. This is probably the biggest decision this kid's had to make up to this point, and one that will have a huge impact on the rest of his life ... So he wants to have a little fun with it .... big ******* deal.
  19. He will never see a BCS game (and probably not a conference championship) with any of those teams. At USF, he has a real chance to go to a contending team. He would be lucky if he got to a bowl game with any of those schools, let alone contend for anything... You never know what's going to drive a kid's decision ...
  20. You never know ... A kid may want to experience living in that for 3 or 4 years just as a change. Iowa as a change for 3-4 years? Heck why doesn't he just see if they are looking for players in Saskatoon? Either that or stay here and rent a room in a walk in freezer 6 months a year. Do not try to apply logic to a teenager's decision .... Excuse me, Josh is gonna be pre-med and is quite a bright young man, now some posters........ Do you have teenage kids?? There is absolutely no correlation between intelligence and logic ....
