I like watching other games after our loss and seeing lbs, cbs shedding blocks and making tackles, like seeing safeties taking the right angle and tackling aggresively….not sure why we cant have nice things anymore
-
Might have something to do with the players? I know its taboo to say it….we really really need safeties and cbs

He doesn't even need to be a coach, just being on the sidelines being a hype man during games would put so much energy back into this program and fanbase
Or fundraising or as an analyst or anything **** it!!!! Bring back the fire

But i totally get it is a pipe dream…..my only thing holding me to it is how desperate we as a fanbase have become for any kind of fire

Well, there are 7.837 billion people on earth. I'll take the field. How much are you putting up against me?

Zero. No world where xCJL comes back home as a DC. But, I'd be happy to take your money, too. I'll give you the same 1000:1.
So you are a gambling man, who do you think it will be? Curious?

I'll give you 1000:1 odds xCJL isn't the next head coach. How much are you putting up against me?
Ok i will agree its a pipe dream to an extent, how about as DC or ambassador as previously put out there?

And bring in former players currently coaching….Verpaele, mompremier, cedric hill, larry scott, marquel, , to name a few to be able to take over after 3-4 years

I have nothing to say about Judy except she and Dougie could have handled many things much, much better. We botched chances while in the Big East. We were too small time for the time.
We had a terribly weak AD at the time of Leavitt's firing. He could be easily manipulated by the people increasing his support and income. We had an angry and hurt reporter and we had some athletes that were disgruntled including one of the more popular ones. Many of the kids in the locker room have grown up and some have changed their tunes. It was literally a fiasco.
So I don't blame Judy completely or alone. I saw the weakness in the AD, the hate in Brett, the jealousy in a couple players and the hostility of our former fan base that thought USF was better than 8 or 9 wins. The "plateau crowd".
How someone of Judy's intellect could read that half-assed report, deny the motives of many others and make a move like that is beyond me.
The perfect fiasco.
Those “players” ie pinellas county players who pushed this agenda are what many of us ,previously in pinellas county, what we thought they were, just gonna leave it at that

Why is Judy responsible for this mess? I don't know what this thread refers to.
Aside from the Leavitt issue, she decided to try and strong arm ESPN as leader of the Big East and essentially killed the BE and our program by pissing off espn

Def coordinator Danny Verpaele as coach in waiting, bring back Jim

Coach Jim Leavitt…….with a Coach in waiting for 3-4 years, let him reclaim what he created and bring it back from its death….nobody would go harder to salvage this….

It was a horse collar tackle and may have helped usf score one more touchdown but it was a momentum change. Biggest issue is our running game has disappeared when our passing game was discovered.
Boyles is good and hope he gets a shot in the NFL.
I think having Gordon out for the game really hurt us, take that for how you will

They need to recruit better. That’s the bottom line. Taggart didn’t win because he was a great Xs and Os guy. He won because we put more talent on the field than the other teams. This team, even when healthy, can’t do that. We have 100 WRs on the roster but only two of them are competent. The secondary, outside of Amaris Brown, doesn’t have any talent. They can’t cover or tackle. Have we thrown a football to a TE yet this season? Jason Vaughan had a career game yesterday, but there’s no one on the d-line with any real talent. Recruit better. That’s what’s needed. That’s where this staff should be judged at this point. Skip Holtz and Charlie Strong didn’t recruit either. That’s where programs are built at this level and where our real problem will be - especially with NIL now in play.
Cheney(out for year) and Logan have shown promise

We can win every remaining game on our schedule if Gerry is back and we get some turnovers, imo Tulane is amongst the best teams in the AAC, Cinncy we shouldve won, Im writing Ecu off as a bad game….we are not far off but above all else beat the **** out of ucf this one time….please
