I didn't catch the rematch win over Fresno.
Shame on you for forgetting the Temple-Tulsa tussle.

Team A
10-3 (0 wins over FCS teams)
Conference Champs
6-3 against bowl eligible teams
SOS 65
Team B
9-2 (1 win over FCS)
0-2 against bowl eligible teams
SOS 125
Team B is 1-2 against Bowl eligible teams. Thank goodness for that big Temple win over Tulsa.
Team A, if Fresno, played an FCS team and did not play 9 bowl teams.
If team A is Boise they did not play 9 bowl eligible teams either.

I wish we would have had a blowout performance against Tulsa, I would have felt much more comfortable about this week. I am not an Xs and Os guy, but if ucf can run they way Tulsa did, we may not see much passing out of ucf on Friday.
Tulsa rushed 55 times for 166 yards. 3 yards a rush. If we did that against UCF I would feel pretty good about our chances.

I'm sure he's no Ironside.
But then again, who is?

Absolutely! IMO with a really small sample size, it looks like he throws better.
When you say throws better? Which category of throws better is he in? Kraky? Banks? Denson? Eveld I? Eveld II? Woulard?

Cmon man...
Its not an analysis, it's just posting the final scores. The attempt at analysis from bullsfan1983 was also flawed. Late scores to make it more respectable? Against Temple? Our last score was with 5:31 left in the 3rd when our starters all came out. Temple scored in be 4th faints our reserves so it's actually the opposite. We chose rest over style points all year. We haven't had a bye in forever and have significantly short week for this next game.
He gave you credit in the post. He said ECU, UConn and Temple scored late points to make the score less bad for them. So yes, more respectable for them. Reading comprehension....

I thought it would start at UCF - 13.5.
Not saying we can't win but they've been consistently beating their opponents and we've been consistently inconsistent.

I think yesterday was more execution in the second and third quarters. The fourth quarter was just a display of confused and unimaginative play calling. I should not even call it play calling. Just a mish mash of plays called without rhyme or reason.

I don't understand this chicken little thought process. We're playing UCF not Alabama. We may lose but all the beat downs in this series have been on our side and I don't think they're going to beat us down. And if you do think they're going to beat us down?

When this team wins AAC Championship, I wonder what will be the next issue from those that complain about about a 11-1 team that has almost the same offensive statistics as last year will be?
Uniforms, Helmets, Attendance, OCS and CWT breaking Woulard's foot. We have a list, don't you worry.

Less than inspiring wins is the new normal for USF.
I will say I like these better than inspiring losses.

??? Where are you seeing a rainy forecast?
I'm down here in Ft. Myers and it's looking grim so far here. I haven't looked at any forecasts.

UCF -10; Over under 72

Why would they be mad? They’ll make the playoffs with that schedule instead of taking an L coming down to Tampa. And another L against UW.

The happiness thread got me thinking about my happiness about USF's season. I had us with one loss, to Houston, at the beginning of the season which with a brand new coaching staff would be great. We win out we have a pretty good chance for an access bowl. Our place in the grand scheme of college football could be better. But it could certainly be much worse. For example the folks at Southern Miss have a right to complain about the unfairness of life (although their efforts to keep us out of CUSA limit my sympathy).
In 2004 Southern Miss played in Conference-USA with TCU, Cincinnati, Louisville, Tulane, UAB, East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, Army and USF.
Today Southern Miss plays in Conference-USA with FAU (Started in 2001, FBS in 2004); FIU (started in 2002, FBS in 2004); Marshall; Western Kentucky; Middle Tennessee; Old Dominion (started in 2009, FBS in 2013); UNC-Charlotte (started 2013, FBS in 2015); North Texas; UAB (Shut down program for 2015 and 2016 seasons); UT- San Antonio(Started 2011; FBS 2012); Louisiana Tech; Rice; UTEP
Just be glad that our location will long term help us and not hold us back.

Why they put the Birmingham Bowl because it will not be that one.
Peach bowl or death.
So pissed that when we beat UCF the AAC championship will be in Memphis. That stinks.
Then root for SMU to win out and beat Memphis. I think they can still win the West in which case there may be a 3 way tie of 6-2 teams between Memphis, SMU and Houston. Then whoever comes out of that would be coming to Tampa.

Per the S&P statistical rankings our offense was 7th last year and so far 31st this year. On the defensive side though we moved up from 110th last year to 17th this year.
S&P takes into account efficiency, explosiveness, field position, finishing drives, and turnovers. There are also adjustments for opponent strength and garbage time.
So to JTrue's point, our offense has taken a something of a step back but our defense has gotten a lot better.

As the offense is currently operating a WR screen, pass over the middle or pass to the Rs are all trick plays.
