Thanks, just trying to put Irma behind us. Irma even took a pup from us, she ate something  ( likely some trash that blew in in our yard) post storm, got blocked up, had emergency  surgery and died. I am still crushed that we lost her, a 12 month old Dal  puppy  that we had rescued, had multiple health issues which we were tacking one at a time.

Irma was just a terrible event for many people in the 239.We were lucky all things considered. Several of my friends, lost everything.

Sorry to hear that. It's been hit or miss around the 239. Based on what I've seen Marco and the Pelican Bay took it worse in collier. Up in lee county things were worse inland.

  2. Leaving aside UCF's self interested statements, the engineers that issued the report could have shut the stadium down if they perceived the situation that posed an immediate threat to people using it. If they shut the stadium down it would be better for their lawsuit - "see how bad it is?" Keeping it open and likely having a sell out in November is worse for their lawsuit. The defense will be screaming lack of maintenance and value engineering the whole way.

I call BS on this.  If it were inspected every year there shouldn't be any, "life safety" issues that suddenly pop up.  So, either it's not inspected every year, or UCF has just been negligent in performing the appropriate maintenance.

My guess is that the life safety issues, nor any of the issues just popped up. Under Florida law you have to file suit for any construction defects within 4 years of when the defect was discovered or should have been discovered. But in no event can suit Ben brought more than 10 years after completion. My guess is ucf filed suit right before Thebes expiration of the 10 year time frame. In short they didn't just discover the defects they are litigating.

Despite 8 turnovers we are one Carlton Mitchell drop (yes the DB had a hand on it) from winning the game. That was an exciting game. Too bad we were on the wrong side of it.

Must win out and beat UCF. Ucf wont lose a game till they face us.

Then next goal beat western winner.

I'm not sure about that. I watched a little bit the last couple weeks. They trust their DBs a lot. Beating them means a team would have to win 1-1 battles at WR or be able to run effectively. SMU might be able to do the first.

On the other end Navy will be tough although UCF has better athletes across the board. Those are the only 2 possible losses I see for them.

Not sure how playing in a G5 Championship makes us more inconsequential than we already are.

The most we can ever hope to play for as it currently stands is the NY6 "booby prize" which is the epitome of inconsequential.

You think playing in the Peach Bowl against Wisconsin is worse than playing in the "G5 Championship" against San Diego State?

I think the problem is all sports. Its nots cost effective to have a cross country conference.  I think a more likely scenario is the American taking the remaining six teams in the Big 12 and have Temple and Tulane bow out of the conference.

More likely that the B12 remnants (Kansas, K State, WVU, Iowa State, Baylor and TCU) invite 4-6 other schools so they don't lose the B12 moniker and contracts. I think they add USF/UCF/Houston/Cincinnati/Colorado State and make a play for BYU.

There will be a drop off in running by the QB, but the passing could actually get better.

The offensive line and receivers need to get better if the QB can't bail out with his legs. They might but just because the ball comes out prettier doesn't mean much if the rest of the guys don't elevate their games.
