I think it is:

1. Population

2. Weather, can play year round.

3. Unlike parts of the west there is no 7 on 7 high schools here.

4. For east coast teams this is the easier trip than Texas or California.

5. Basketball is not so big here.

Having said that, all the top talent (top 25-30) in the largest states is pretty equal over time.  The key difference is depth of talent.  So a Rutgers taking the 95th best player in the state is better for them than  maybe the 45th best player.

help our play calling on 3rd and 2?  We had the BE's leading rusher this year, and how often did that help our play calling?

If only we had an on-campus bull-themed restaurant.

I don't think Brad Johnson or the kid from USC who was drafted by the Patriots last season ever got their jerseys dirty much.

I feel pretty good about our staff's ability to evaluate talent (other than QB).  McCluster and that Center McCaskill (now the #13 Center on rivals) were on not rated very highly and now both are apparently sought after kids.

I personally cannot stand the clips and blocks in the back on kickoffs.  

I think the limited number of games we have played against any team limits a label of "rivals."  

However, we wrecked Louisville's season, so maybe they'll start seeing us as rivals.

I hated the traffic and general layout of Orlando when I lived there.  

I would not live in Orlando or Miami.

and do we have any shot of having that many people there?  I got 6 going: 2 alums, 2 wives, 1 gator, and a 3 year old (If I have to buy a ticket she counts).

I agree we are not where we want to be.  However, I hope you will be at the bowl game cheering on the bulls.

I don't  think he sticks with PJ.  Carlton will be playing major minutes in the bowl game.

Despite all the predictability, he led a drive from our own 6 to the WVU 30 or so before the drive bogged down.  The touhcdown run and the 4th down conversion leading up to it were all Hill.  Kid has talent, and delivered a nice ball.  Made freshman mistakes.

PJ was good, not great.

We made it inside the 5 twice and settled for field goals.  3 instead of 7 against a good team will make you lose.

I will be there with wife, kid, brother, sister in law, other brother.  Will determine tomorrow where we stay.

I agree that no 6-5 teams should get bowl bids.  As soon as every other 6-5 team gives their up I think we should too.  Until then, I am pretending it's 2002 and we're 9-2, because we went nowhere despite deserving to go.

Just got back from the game.  Miffed by the loss and the boneheaded playcalling.  However, I sat next to the WVU fans all night, and found for the most part they were pretty cool.  Friendliest opposition fans I have been around in the two years I have had season tickets.  

Of course, as the Ole Ball Coach said, they're all nicer when they beat you.
