And we will never run that play again

Forgot about that part of what they said, which was also off. If you watched USF football strictly for entertainment value, you shouldn't even be around right now. Someone likened USF fandom to a cult .... I see it more like a family, and not in the Manson way.
If it was a cult some would definitely be ready for the flavor aid
Yea its more a family....very dysfunctional but family.
-
I mean I agree with the idea the program doesn't owe you anything cause you give them alot of money.
Only reason we are really watching this is to be entertained and there hasn't been alot of that these last 3 years. This has been brutal and most college football fans haven't had it this bad.
I wouldn't call somebody that hanged around for these last 3 years and been a donor a fair weather fan.....most USF fans are just worn out from all the losing, seeing other programs we have played with move on and former CUSA teams way ahead of us at this point.

I'm wondering if Powell is completely healthy, too. Maybe I'm totally off base but he almost seems like the lightning to Wright's thunder. I'm not sure he gets caught on that long run NW had but was caught from behind ...
I like Powell and if he is healthy he takes that one to the house.

Q set passing records under that offense but I'm not sure BB's there yet ....
Q did but he had way better backs with Johnson and Mack.
Think losing Battie hurt the most of all the players gone....we could really use him now in run game. This rb group lacks explosive play potential. Joiner I'd like to see get more touches when healthy.

I don't see how we can get vanilla we run like 3 plays...maybe more hb dives are in order.
Just tired of watching another first year coach fumble around figuring out what works.

Me, too. We should be improving as the season goes along. Not regressing.
Yes that's my biggest concern cause that's what we have seen.
If we lost both games by 10 or less I can understand maybe....two beatdowns is definitely not a good look to program and direction Golesh is taking this team.
-
Giving up 50+ points to FAU and UAB...unfortunately we are a bad team these past 2 weeks.
Hopefully Golesh figures why they are playing worse now and makes adjustments and any win vs Uconn be huge for team.

I wouldn't yell at the kids or coaches during a game but **** the two last two weeks felt like we had Jeff Scott back there again. The coaches and players look lost and cluess on what to do. We need a big statement win over our old conference rival Uconn who decided they didn't want to be tied to AAC any longer.
We sure do.
I had local sports radio on today when I was out... talking mostly Bucs ..but did mention USF some...both were also shocked USF has no business having 50+ dropped on them vs freaking UAB and FAU In back to back weeks.
Golesh better get this corrected asap we need to go into next year with more than 3 wins.

When FSU and UF struggle you see alot of empty seats...now let them go thru what USF fans have gone thru these past 3+ years and I don't think the attendance by them be much better for the teams we play.
It's quite impressive USF fans show up still.

History of an often ugly series. This week will be the 18th meeting.
2000- USF (in its last year of 1-AA) beats UConn (transitioning from 1-AA to 1) 21-13.
2001- USF in its first year in D1 beats UConn 40-21.
Conference Mates:
2005 - We lose 15-10. The infamous voodoo 5 game.
2006 - We beat UConn 38-16.
2007- We lose 22-15, a week after the Rutgers' "illegal forward propulsion call", as we throw a pick in the endzone and have a turnover returned for a touchdown.
2008- We beat UConn 17-13 in an ugly game.
2009- We lose 29-27 in the snow on a last second field goal by UConn.
2010 - We lose 19-16 on a last second field goal where UConn does not score an offensive touchdown. They go to the Fiesta Bowl.
2011- We lose 16-10 where UConn does not score an offensive touchdown.
2012- We beat UConn 13-6. BJD's career ends at USF with an injury. 3d Game in a row against us that UConn offense doesn't score.
2013- We beat Uconn 13-10. We repay Uconn by winning without scoring an offensive touchdown.
2014- We beat Uconn 17-14 in a monsoon.
2015- We beat UConn 28-20. Q, Mack, and Rodney Adams start to gel.
2016- We beat UConn 42-27. Bulls’ offense rolls and the Bulls get to 6-1 heading into Temple.
2017- We beat UConn 37-20. Q passes for 385 and runs for 131 as the Bulls destroy UConn. The Huskies score 13 garbage time points to make things look less bad.
2018- We beat UConn 38-30. Jordan Cronkite and Johnny Ford each go over 100 yards rushing and the Bulls finish with 346 yards rushing to win.
2019- We beat UConn 48-22. The bulls win their 8th straight over the Huskies in their last game as conference mates.
We got a string of wins going on now why do I feel that's coming to an end sat.
-
Yes this offense is far from clicking well and going fast just for the sake of it is resulting in fast 3 and outs that is very demoralizing for the defense.
-
It's not the loss like said that's troubling...it's how the team looks so uninspired at start, sloppy...we look worst these 2 last games than first game. Something is going on behind closed doors with this team and its not good. This team isn't buying into CAG from what I see maybe cause the players know the OC and DC arent good coaches...they know we need to adjust and they aren't...the result is players start quitting.

After having time to assess the process I have determined that CAG has a major problem. #1 being that his DC totally SUCKS!
His OC is no better either.
The growing pains of yet another first year coach.

The kids quit.
While we are 3 and 3 and have a homecoming game vs a in state conference team.
If these kids have no fight in them we need to purge alot more players at end of season.

And where has Simmons gone? Since the massive game vs. Navy, he has 4 catches for 58 yards.
No clue.
This offense has no identity at all besides run a hb into a pile and deep passes and BB running for his life.
These slow backs don't scare any defense so easily teams seem to shut both pass and run game down.
Joiner need to be moved back to rb asap. Put Smith the speedster freshmen as a starter....Alexis has not impressed at all with fumble, drops and slow speed...how was he a 5 star at Texas.

It’s frustrating because it’s like this team is going backwards, but that’s most likely because we aren’t evolving as the season is going on.
I think what it is is the offense got very predictable once conference play started and coaches figured out if you take away inside run, put a spy on BB and take away the deep pass you pretty much just stopped this offense dead in tracks. Its like the coaches now don't know what else to call. Offense has gotten worse as conference play started.

It’s really amazing how seemingly every other team is on the rise except USF. Former peers on the rise leaving the AAC behind, former underlings on the rise beating USF at its Homecoming by 42.
There are no valid excuses for the last two weeks. Something is absolutely rotten in the athletics department.
Yeah thats what is very woresome how is this team coming out so flat and unprepared these past two games.....Golesh already losing some of this team? Thats like 3 games in a row we spot teams 14 points to start games.
This program has some serious rot and it starts at the top Kelly has to go but we know that won't happen.

The RBs and WRs we have are run straight ahead types - no shake in them. That’s what we’re lacking. And zero breakaway speed. Even in the open field guys like Atkins and Nayquan Wright get run down from behind.
Alexis a WR got ran down by LB vs Navy.
Only players on offense that have some speed playing are both Browns, Joiner that never gets the ball or is injured and Simmons. We need serious increase of speed at RB and WR next year.
-
Students and fans showed up and team crapped bed. Support is pretty good in stadium....people are desperate to watch good football.
Afraid next home game will look drastically different.

To be fair, the game yesterday wasn't over until the 32nd minute ....
True we were sort of in it till mid 3rd. I didn't drag the family out till the punt return for a td. That was my breaking point.

There is no way our talent is so bad that we got prison raped by UAB and FAU with first year head coaches. Hell Monmouth put up 20 and gave up 42 to FAU. Is our talent worse than Monmouth? This roster is littered with p5 transfers,. It can't be that bad..
Talent is not where we need to be but all this on talent is a cop out. Coaching is definitely not where it needs to be these games should be atleast competitive not over by halftime.

It’s not the losing, it’s being totally overmatched these past two weeks. Hard to wrap your head around that, given the first five weeks when we mostly looked like a competent D1 football team.
Agree...I can deal with close losses we don't get those. We get curb stomped by powerhouse FAU and UAB
