I am not young, but I play a game called clash royale on my phone. I happen to be the so called leader. I sent a message to the clan that said, "You know what sucks? When you can't wait to watch your college football team play the first game of the year and there is a 2 hour+ weather delay." Then a hour later I messaged the clan and said, "You know what sucks worse? The game starts and your team is down 28-0 with 4 minutes left in the first QTR!" Sorry, but Jeff Scott is in over his head. He talks about having a lot of returning starters, but those starters come from a team that has pretty much sucked the last 3 years. Something needs to change.........

Just wondering if anyone has considered starting a gofundme event to raise funds for the campus stadium. Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

So sad....I initially thought I read 6 teams apply for membership in the ACC. And said to myself USF better have been one of them. And then I realized I was wrong about the conference. And then I saw the schools applying. Such a tangled mess USF is. No real leaders who can take the university to where it belongs and where it once was, although very shortly. SO SAD.

-USF has not had a good football coach since they booted Leavitt. That includes Taggart, who has no loyalty, and he is where be belongs. -USF's current coach is lost. He has hired incompetent assistants at OC and DC. Especially DC. -Football recruiting is sad. We are last in the conference with 4 recruits so far. -The administration was asleep at the wheel when this next phase of conference realignment occured. -UCF has passed us. That is just wrong! -The administration now says an on campus stadium will be built along with a football facility......too late (asleep at the wheel). -USF is in a fading conference -I used to be so excited for games, but no longer. SADDNESS, DISSAPOINTING, FRUSTRATION, knowing opportunity existed to take this program to another level quite a few years ago.

Anyone see the JL interview after the game ended? He was about to cry and talked about how he loved the tampa bay area and the fan support. Is he leaving? The comments seemed a little strange...........

I think the men's basektball team was ranked 20 something for a week in the late 80's.

1985-1990.....Lived in Beta Hall (1W) first two years. I chose USF because it was close to home (Seminole) and my best friend in high school was going there. In retrospect I wish I had gone somewhere and played football (Div II or III), but that is not a knock on USF because I loved my time there. I can remember standing in line for hours to register for classes. In the dorms we drank a lot, played a lot of poker and backgammon. The weekend usually started on Thursday. Lot's of parties. As far as football goes, when I was there the rumor was the lady who donated the land to the college stated she did not want to have a football team. I feel there was a lot of support for basketball when I was there, much more than there is now. My hall went to plenty of games. We usually went to happy hour at a bar on Fletcher on game day - don't remember the name of it. It was $5 to get in and nickel draft beer from 4 - 7. I never saw the sun dome so packed the night we played UT. Don't think there was an empty seat in the house. Lots of students from UT were at the game. A few memories - coeds (beer goggles came in handy a few times) , watching a baseball game from behind the left field fence and heckling the opponents left fielder. He must have complained because coach Carderi (sp) came out and told us, "He appreciates are support, but can we keep it cool.", getting into a brawl with a frat, me and two other hall mates stealing a HUGE banner from the soccer stadium on a drunken night. It was reported in the Oracle and we ended up returning it anonymously. When USF made the NCAA tournament the UC set up chairs and a large TV. A lot of people showed up to watch USF play Arizona. It was Brian Williams battling with Hakim. If I recall the game was pretty close, but we ended up losing. Hakim always stood out on the court because of his physique. He was all muscle. The campus looks totally different now, much more developed. Sorry to ramble on, just brought back a lot of memories. I had so much fun during that time period, just can't believe it was 20 years ago!

This news makes me very sad.  :-[  All I can say about this situation is I hope he loves her.  Or really likes her a lot.  It's just not right if he doesn't, unless she has a great a**, nice t*ts, or is just average and is willing to put out!  ;D  On a serious note, I can't believe this became public knowledge.
