  1. No concern here - there's a true big man with experience (Reynolds 6-10), a young big man (Tobiloba 7-0), a proven big forward (Walker 6-7), an athletic big forward (Green 6-9), and a wing who was probably our second best rebounder last season (Stroud), and two wing/small forwards in the 6-5/6-6 range (Knox and Ademokoya). That's way more size than we had last season. We've seen the way Coach wants to play. It's not throwing a big, bulky front line out there and grinding.
  2. She's definitely skilled and not afraid. We'll see how she adjusts to the different speed of the college game. Go Bulls!
  3. He claimed offers from Oklahoma State, Mizzou, Drexel, Murray State, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, etc.
  4. I'm going all in . . . it's been some time, but the seat deposits are in for 2024-25 season ticks. Let's GO!
  5. Maybe a good place to look for our next head coach . . .
  6. We’ve now lost 9 of the last 11. It’s a perplexing team, for sure.
  7. Wasn’t meant to be a comparison to us, but they caught lightning in a bottle for a couple years. It’s not sustainable there. They’ll quickly look just like FGCU, post-Dunk City.
  8. FAU can schedule whoever they want, their run is O-V-E-R. Their head coach and top four scorers - Davis (Arkansas or Kentucky), Goldin (Michigan), Martin (UF) and Boyd (SDSU) - are all gone. May also took their top high school signee with him to Michigan. They lose 64 ppg. Back to obscurity for the Owls.

  10. I think Coach Amir has done just about as well as can be expected in this era of NIL in collegiate sports. I like Reynolds and Brown, too. The kid from FSU is rangy (6-9) and athletic. The kid from Kennesaw is similar at 6-6 but wants to play on the perimeter more, and I think the JUCO (Williams) may be the best of the bunch so far. He has really good size - height and bulk - for a guard and obviously can shoot the ball, based on his numbers. All I've ever really wanted out of this program was to put an annually competitive group on the floor and give us a chance. So many years, that just hasn't been the case. It sure feels like Coach is capable of producing that for us, at the very least. With Reid, Knox, Stroud, Jennings, Walker and Tobiloba back, there's certainly enough talent to stay in most games if we get decent production out of several of the newcomers.
  11. Seriously, you don’t need to make the case anymore that a coaching change is needed. The team’s performance is taking care of that. I’m not sure much more needs to be said. We play out the string this season and find new leadership.
  12. Jones committed to St. Bonaventure today - I’m guessing we weren’t really a serious player for him.
  13. I would agree, but the point he was trying to make is that we've added nothing while our conference mates are loading up. Hardly. Maybe Memphis, but I'll never really fear them as long as Penny is coaching them. They'll always be up and down, inconsistent.
  14. They lose an NBA-caliber player and add a guy that averaged 4 points per game on an awful Louisville team (8-24) last year and you think this is an upgrade? Really? FAU’s blip of success is over, just like FGCU’s Dunk City a few years back. It left with Dusty May.
  15. He hasn't posted anything recently about his offers. Only thing I see on his X feed is from early April, and we are not mentioned, but our recruiting coordinator is following him. As of April 2, this is what he had listed: Samford (Offered), Saint Bonaventure (Offered), Stephen F Austin (Offered), Murray State (Offered), Oakland University (Offered), Wichita State, Virginia Tech, UAB, Colorado State. He did go to high school in Jacksonville.
  16. I’m with you, bro! I think we’re going to have a nice club. And props to you. What do we look like if we get the kid from Barton, too? Let’s go!
