  1. Too much for this team to overcome with their challenges offensively. Sammie’s injury really was the end of the season. Probably astonishing that they won 19 games with their lack of options on offense. Lots of offseason questions to answer: You have some building blocks if Sammie comes back fully healthy along with Levy and Blasigh, but who’s the PG? Who’s the post? Is this all we can expect from Danie and Carla?
  2. Yep, I don’t see us scoring 10 runs every outing - certainly not in league play. Pitching staff is less than impressive. I’ve watched about six games and there’s not a whole lot of juice from any of the guys we’re wheeling out there on the mound. Hunter Mink has some noticeable velocity and movement, but that’s about it. The lineup has bite, but that staff doesn’t give you much confidence that it’s going anywhere. None of the starters showed anything all weekend.
  3. One day there will be a Karter Knox or Emmanuel Sharp-type kid who has the guts to take a chance and has the desire to set his own path and not just go for the “sure thing” - but not today.
  4. Bats are making it happen! We need to get better innings out of our starters.
  5. I honestly thought it was coming vs. SMU, or Charlotte, or even Tulane . . . but not this one. Shows you how predictable any of this is.
  6. Our league is underrated, but the reason we’re not considered for the at-large is our non-conference schedule. We clearly scheduled light on purpose to help us transition with a new staff/team. It was the right thing to do at the time. It backfired because we ended up being solid. Next year, we’ll certainly step up the non-league schedule to give us a chance at some quality wins. Today was a reality check. We’ll probably get another one in a few hours when Karter Knox announces his plans.
  7. Bring it on. At a neutral site, we beat them no prob. We won’t shoot that poorly again and Haggerty won’t score 30+ again.
  8. Agreed, but this certainly means our only path to the dance is as the AQ from the tournament. Probably was anyway, but this definitely cements it. We need to win three games next week. Let’s keep perspective - what a run it was. Not over yet . . .
  9. Had to happen eventually and here it is. Haggerty can’t miss and we’re cold.
  10. Bats got it going so far this week. Great job! Pitching today didn’t give a lot of confidence, but it’s a W. Let’s keep it going.
  11. What a fantastic bunch. You keep waiting for THAT game where it unravels, but they just know how to finish like no team I’ve seen. So much fun.
  12. How is Tulane’s record not better? They have some dudes who can score.
  13. Ahh, so they won’t use their fifth year. edit: Story says they expect to return. I see that now
  14. Time to start coming out on the right side of the scoreboard. If the pitching holds up, we have a chance to get it going. Five games this week. We need to get most of them and get some confidence going.
  15. Haven’t been too impressed with him at third. I’d put him at second and move Boser to third.
  16. I’m old enough to have seen Charlie Bradley play in person. This season is a dream come true . . . and there’s still more that can be achieved to make it truly epic.
  17. Promising that we’re getting good pitching - gives us a chance to eventually get things going.
  18. I know there are a few here. Beta is scheduled to be demolished! Should we start a Save Beta campaign?
