  1. I have been in contact with USF administration regarding this. They are organizing a larger effort, and we may end up contributing our funds to this depending on what it is. We just want to ensure that what we do is in compliance with the NCAA and USF's athletic department. Please contribute if you haven't done so. We are up to $35 as of right now. Thanks, Matt
  2. Keep this anti-USF bashing garbage on the State of Florida board, please.
  3. They need two arms more than they need Sosa and his corked bat and bad attitude.
  4. Bonds would hit over 50 homers a year without steroids. Why cheat? He's a talented enough player without them. Therein lies the problem. How can you respect a guy who's better than most of the league naturally but still feels the need to juice up for an advantage? Where's the sportsmanship in that?
  5. The Ron Artest era in the NBA needs to end. Permanently. Right now. Letting him back in at ALL after he slugged a paying customer that supports your product says all I need to know. This is why I stopped watching the NBA after the Bulls Three-Peat. The real NBA died for the majority of Americans the day Magic and Bird retired. Jordan had it on life support, but it's over.
  6. All: Just wanted you all to know that I received a "Thank You" card from Stan and Rebecca Hixon this morning.  The Hixons wanted to thank everyone at SouthFloridaBulls.com who donated toward their gifts when they were here in Tampa.  The card read: Dear SouthFloridaBulls.com Members: We sure appreciate your kind thoughts, prayers, the gift certificates, and beautiful flowers you shared while we were in Tampa in September.  Praise God - Drew is making great progress toward returning to a normal life.  He's working hard to get better every day! God Blesses! Coach Stan, Rebecca, Drew, Adele, and Avis Hixon. Thought you'd all like to know. Thanks again for your generosity, and please contribute to the Bradley Mosley fundraiser pinned at the top of this forum if you can. Matt
  7. PhotoShop and/or Fireworks... one is Adobe, one is Macromedia. Both do pretty much the same thing.
  8. Jim: Good idea. I'm sure we'll be fine. I'll check your e-mail in a bit. I have a ton to wade through all of a sudden! Matt
  9. Yep, I will call him on Monday. We're going to collect for a while before we spend anything, so we have some time. Matt
  10. Sorry, my alter ego "BullEditor" popped out there for a second.
  11. I just spoke with a woman at the NCAA regarding this endeavor. She informed me that since we weren't officially affiliated with the school and if we would do it for a non-student athlete (i.e. one of our own children who were in a similar situation, which I believe we most definitely would), then it's A-OK by the NCAA. Just FYI.
  12. Whoever did that graphic misspelled "Asterisk". ;D
  13. I don't know, actually. I wouldn't think so, but who knows. Anybody know for sure?
  14. Also, in the interest of public disclosure, 45 cents of every $5.00 donation goes to PayPal to cover fees. Just FYI. Matt
  15. I agree completely. I wonder if there's something else we could do in addition to flowers. Something custom from us, like a jacket or something. Just brainstorming.
  16. 1) South Florida 2) 32 3) Swift - 14 4) Leather - 9 5) 56%
  17. As you may or may not know TheBullsPen.com raised approximately $150.00 towards gifts for the family of injured Tennessee Tech receiver Drew Hixon. Now it's time to support one of our own. Bradley Mosley, a senior guard on the University of South Florida basketball team, has been diagnosed with renal cell cancer and will miss the 2004-05 season while he undergoes treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center.  SouthFloridaBulls.com would like to start a collection for Mr. Mosley and his family.  We're not entirely sure what we'd like to do for them, and we are open to suggestions.  The Hixons received a fantastic flower arrangement from Bloomtown Florists, as well as some gift cards towards local restaurants. Given the amount of support the Hixon fundraiser garnered, I would like to suggest a donation amount of $5.00.  If you can donate more, fine.  Less, fine.  The amount is unimportant.  What is important is that we step up again and show our support for one of our own who is going through a difficult time. You can donate any amount manually through PayPal or use the link below to make a pre-set $5.00 donation via PayPal: Mosley Fundraiser - PayPal Link If you are uncomfortable using PayPal, send me an e-mail and I will make arrangements to pick up any donations in person at one of the remaining home football games. On behalf of Bulliever and SouthFloridaBulls.com, we all thank you for your support. Matt (BullWriter)
  18. We should have a board PhotoShop contest and all do something like this. I love the idea!
