  1. LOL you are quoting a personal opinion about next season that came out 2 weeks before signing day? Pathetic. What about the USA Today Poll that shows USF getting 6 votes and UCF getting 4 in the Final Poll of 2007? Facts are what works. You can try 62-14 or whatever the final score was, but last I checked, its still a win or a loss. Even after the game, the season plays out and UCF and USF aren't that far away from each other (2 votes in a poll). Both are top 35 Teams and neither of us have ever finished a season ranked (which is when it counts). I would post a link to the poll, but I want to actually see a USF student/alum actually do their own work for a change You scoff at at him quoting an opinion poll yet you quote probably the most inaccurate opinion poll out thereto try to justify that we aren't that far away from each other.... brilliant logic. Most of the unbiased computer polls had us in the low 20's and UCF in the mid 40's. You're right, FACTS are what works. Please stop .....While 83 is, by far, our most obsessed fan, he is light years behind some of your more pathetic wretches over there. I love your USF education... If you read what I was saying, I was talking about a prediction poll about NEXT season and we are only a week removed from the national championship game. At least the 2007 "Opinion" polls have something to validate their votes. This is why the same site has USF at 19 and UCF at 22. At least wait until after Signing Day and Spring Practice to start your Holier Than Thou predictions thread. I love how you validate yourselves by picking and choosing what you want to argue about.

I'm just glad that in reality, both fans are no where near as pathetically obsessed as you are. When do you finally realize how bad it is? You even have your own fans telling you to stop making your fan base look bad. No need to get personal.
  3. Those are terms that represent what UCF used to be called and names that were thrown around a while back as possible new names .... Florida Techinical Unversity/Orlando College/Orlando University ..... I think those are right, anyway. Actually, when UCF started, we were Florida Tech. We became UCF in 1978. Thinking they were upsetting UCF fans, USF fans tried running smack calling us Orlando College, etc.
  4. How can you say Walsh was the best player for UM? I have to disagree with you there. I think Ken Dorsey was a better QB than Walsh...
  5. Canes - depends on the era. I would say Jim Kelly before the NC era (1983-present), but since, I would have to say Ray Lewis (although I was a big fan of Alonzo Highsmith, Michael Irvin, and Jerome Brown when they were there) Gators - Grossman (he should have won a Heisman as a Soph.), Fred Taylor, or Javon Kearse. Seminoles - Deion Sanders (with Peter Boulware a distant second - although I though Vanover was an amazing return guy) Bulls - Blackwell Knights - Culpepper (I think he did more for one school than any others on this list)...
  6. I haven't seen him, but Rivals rates him as a 3-star 5.6 RR For comparison, Elton Voss (USF Commit) is rated by Rivals as a 3-star 5.5 RR
  7. Wow! You are talking about recruiting again? This coming from the same school that saw, what ELEVEN players not even make it to the first game? I don't care if you were ranked #1 in the nation, you would still drop to 75th when you take into account who actually puts on a USF helmet. How many did UCF lose? 2 - 1 because he took TOO MANY credits in the summer and another because he was homesick. You lost ELEVEN because they are as brilliant as OGRE and as sober as Tommy Chong. You should just give up talking about recruiting smack until at least 75% of your recruiting class qualifies... PS It's always better to have a 2-star on campus than a 5-star in Juco.
  8. This is how the seminoles pay back all of their "free" shoes... or FSU players preparing for their time in the State Pen...
  9. And to be perfectly honest, if you or some other registered UCF poster had started this thread and made some comments, I probably wouldn't have said a thing, definitely nothing smartaa. Some little dweeb hiding behind a Guest post, not even making a comment on the link, just posting it, shouldn't be afforded the same luxury as you registered guys. They really need to have it where Guests can't start threads. SouthFloridaBulls.com's TheBullsPen.com » TheBullsPen.com Forums » State of Florida College Athletics Board (Moderator: DawgPound) I'm actually doing DP a favor by trying to get Bulliever to give him his super powers back. Maybe if there's enough smack talk here, he'll make it a priority .... I agree. Since it is a free site, have the mods thought about making it a necessity to register if you want to post, but reading is free? That might help to keep some of the flaming on the non-smack board. Just a thought, though...
  10. I would post the USF ESPN article on here if I could find one. Thanks for looking for but we really don't need one. That's the kind of stuff the fans of a team that went 0-17 against some of the dregs of college football need to help boost their self esteem. As you probably have noticed, our self esteem is just fine. Now run along and post that story to the UF, FSU and UM boards so they too can see what a fine little program you're developing .... Actually, our article was part of a series. This segment had to do with fundraising and UCF's has been one of the most creative and effective in the country. Just an FYI. Last I checked, this is a State of Florida Athletics board, so the topic is relevant. Unfortunately, it isn't a flame board, so please watch the smack (both sides).
  11. Joe is good for unintentional comedy. It's kinda like watching one of your friends talk smack during Madden. Same idea. For those of you that hate Joe, think of it this way - at least they don't have Brent Musberger in the booth (or anywhere near the broadcast). That homer needs to retire already....
  12. It was an ugly game last year. I think the teams will be a little better coming out of the gate. There is NO way Miami loses this game at home. Prediction: Miami 27 FSU 17
  13. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Stop posting here when you're drunk. Dawg, Quick question - Is the logo (not sure what it's called) underneath your name a shot of 83 when he found out a Krispy Kreme was being put right next to his dorm? Just curious...
  14. Does this leave any doubt that Howard still wishes he was at UM? This is why FAU will not be a legit 1A team until Shnellenberger retires...
  15. It's also the best show on TV... ;D
  16. Nice try. The financial study allocated $750,000 coming from the naming rights. If they would have "bailed us out", they would have been bidding amongst themselves and would have been able to pay less. Shaky accounting? It looks like the accounting was the worst case senario ($750k for naming rights and we got $15M/15 years, attendance figures are for an average of 20,000 fans - a figure that if we can't meet, we shouldn't even be 1A). Accounting, so far, looks pretty good from here. Does it really bother you that bad that UCF is getting and can afford an OCS???
  17. Gimp... why would the SEC take "those" schools instead of taking schools from other BCS conferences? I know we all remember what the ACC did to the Big East. Why wouldn’t this happen again? Why would the SEC not take UL, for example, and take a team like Memphis, UAB, UCF, and Southern Piss? Come on... that's non sense. We all know that the BE is the weakest out of the BCS conferences. The BE needs to build up (and they are as we all know). But to think that the SEC (arguably the best conference in the nation) would look at a non BCS conference for expansion is ludicrous. After all.... you said it best... it's a rumor.... a rumor that UCF believes in : Since it is just a rumor (no one actually believes it is going to happen until it happens), I don't really know the details. But if the rumor becomes reality, Look for the SEC to "cherry pick" from the BE (Probably UL and WVU would be the top candidates) and a team like ECU would be included in the mixup. It may also be a team from CUSA as well. It all depends on location and politics. Most people also asked why the Big East would choose USF (or UCF for that matter).
  18. I meant Big 12. Arkansas was in the SWC with Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma, and OSU.
  19. You have to take into consideration that that era is COMPLETELY different from the College Football Era of today. That being said, I agree with Smazza, the BE is here to stay. I think the era of Super Conferences (12 teams mandatory) is coming very soon and the BE will be forced to expand. The BE will probably consist of its current football members along with Memphis, UAB, UCF, and S. Miss (Georgetown, who may be forced to make the jump from 1AA, is also a possibility). I also heard a rumor that Arkansas may be leaving the SEC to join it's old conference mates in the Big 10. If that is the case, look for one of those schools to be gobbled up by the SEC and the BE will take a team like ECU. PS One win over someone (Especially the SEC) doesn't consititute spanking someone.
  20. I honestly don't think they would welcome BC back. Take a look at what BC did when they didn't think they would be leaving and then again afterwards. The BE is still pissed at them. As far as VT and Miami, I don't think they would be leaving the ACC anytime soon, if ever. The ACC is a better fit for Miami and after the Virginia legislature got involved by basically forcing UVA to vote yes for VT, I don't think VT would slap them in the face. These reasons, along with the fact that the ACC is a much better football conference (I think the best, but it is up there with the SEC and Big 12) and the #2 basketball conference, are why BC, Miami, and VT would never come back to the BigEast.
  21. Actually, I was there. He said we will sell 32-35k NEXT year. It will be done, so if you want to be a part of those with season tickets next year, you have to get them now. UCF has already had 15k tickets next year put on hold. If you by tickets this year, you have the option of buying the same quantity next season as well as part of a two season ticket purchase plan. If 15k is already sold and/or put on hold already, 32-35k is a reachable number...
  22. I agree. There aren't too many teams that can benefit the conference that would take a football only invite into the BE, which seriously hurts expansion. I feel that the BE will reevaluate the situation before the BCS contract is up in 2010. The Commissioner will evaluate what is out there and if bringing in a team like Memphis or UCF will generate more money on an annual basis than what you are making as a whole (ie each team gets $5M per year instead of $3.5M without incentives such as bowl payouts etc.)
  23. This is not meant as a flame, but all that USF did last year was beat a flat Louisville team. USF went 6-6 in a conference that is viewed as a two team conference. USF went 7-1 in a conference that is viewed by most as a strong Mid-major. UCF is also returning basically our entire team. USF lost is most productive back in team history and doesn't have a consistent quarterback. With that being said, I agree with you about preseason polls. Look at Bama in 2000 (Ranked #3 in the preseason)... Bottom Line - It's where you finish, not where you start. Polls like this (done before the summer even begins) is just around to give junkies like us a quick fix until the season starts...
