It won't let me read the article so maybe someone can tell me what it says.
Try copy/paste the link into incognito mode on Chrome, it works 50/50 for me that way.

What about parking for the Spring Game? Do you have to pay? Any words of advice would be appreciated.

USF will just need to mark parking areas on a Football specific parking map that shows where people can park like Raymond James Stadium. I think this is important that they spend time and invest in this because it will pay off.
Where the food trucks will park for games
Big time donors parking
Handicap parking
Most people are going to have a hike to walk to the stadium.
See if you can make it a student class project to have them do the work.
I only bring this up as an comparative example, but C. has a solid setup for parking on gamedays. The closer to the stadium requires a permit. I could see USF doing this for most lots on the east side of campus that are not residential, from the library to the YC and north to the new stadium. Free lots further away (for USF, probably fine arts area, the Laurel area, and down to engineering area). I know there's also a handful of lots being added around the new rec fields on the southwest corner of campus, those may be the Park and Ride where Bull Runners can operate.
C. also set up those disposable trash cans over many of the grassy areas near the parking lots for tailgating (well at least they did 10 or so years ago when I went to a game there last).

Tangent - But I think the gameday experience being on campus is worth more than all the other things.
Agreed. I see so many people on social media asking abut parking....I assume they've never been to any other OCS locations where the lots all over campus are utilized.

I'll be honest. I was somewhat disappointed at the turnout especially after the attendance for SMU and Tulane.
Ticketmaster showed nothing in the 100 or 200 available other than GA but there were tons of seats open from my view.
Blame resellers. They are quick to jump on the bandwagon to get product but then cant sell what they get and thus, empty seats.

Not to sound hangry, but I’ve given my telephone number for texts from USF but we don’t use that method it appears.
I get texts from USF Athletics. I think I opted in after the spring game last year, but not sure. I dont think they texted any details about the NIT game yesterday.

The portal really shouldnt be open until all tournaments are done. (early April). Until that changes, the opt outs will still happen.

Yikes...
4 quarters
22 ft. 3 point line (from 20'9")
18 ft. wide lane (from 12)
The mens NCAA 3 point line has been 22 feet since the 2020-21 season in D1.
Men’s basketball 3-point line extended to international distance - NCAA.org

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved moving the 3-point line to the international basketball distance of 22 feet, 1¾ inches in men’s basketball. -

I have a hunch the conference was given a sweet deal to host in Fort Worth when their new arena opened. Both the men and womens tournaments have been there since 2021.
I agree the tournament needs to move around. With a conference that is spread out in different areas, I'd think a Texas stop, a Florida stop, and one other stop should be part of the rotation.

Since they said it's expandable for future, I'm trying to figure out where you can add an additional 10,000 seats
Likely along that north side for sure. Whether that means adding on to whats already there or deconstruction and reimagining that side is the unknown.

Very interesting. Similar to the renderings we've seen before, just with some fine tuned details.

The southwest conference is just the state of Texas + Arkansas and OU lol.
To be fair, thats pretty much what it was before the SWC and Big 8 merged into the Big XII, minus Oklahoma.

The one negative of the three sellouts. It feels that we do not have adequate resources prior to the game to get cars to the right areas.
It also probably didnt help that unlike those previous two sold out games earlier, this one was a day classes were in session. I saw the map for parking yesterday and they definitely had to spread out the parking.

If it is due to the MBB team, then whoever is asking has seen "Tampa Bay" under each basket. If they still are not sure, I don't think changing the university's name will help them much. Just get them a UCF application.
SMU had a Dallas styled alternate. I believe FIU might do a Miami styled alternate.
It'll always be South Florida for me. I don't mind Tampa Bay alternates, but you can't change over 50 years of tradition.
I also appreciate that ESPN and other media partners are continually referring to us as South Florida over USF now. I assume that's a directive from the athletic department, maybe @John Lewis can confirm? Helps avoid confusion between us and Oviedo (who conveniently seems to be focusing on the abbreviation over full name)

On a related note, I wonder why it’s so quiet about USF right now. Maybe because we don’t have enough rumor-mongers to push for us. We are AAU, located in FL, building an OCS, former Big East member, large public institution, etc. Yet it’s hush-hush. I mean I would at least expect talk about the value of adding us to bolster the B12 in order to ease travel for UCF. Hmm.
Radio silence can also be a good thing too....

My sister went today and had to buy tickets at the box and they are $10.
This is correct. If you happened to go to Friday's UConn game it was a flat price of $20 because it was a baseball/softball round robin event.
