  1. Rivals says he has narrowed his choices to either Iowa or USF.

    The teaser article:

Grant says it'll be USF or Iowa on Signing Day

Coming into his official visit to USF this weekend, three-star defensive end Patrick Grant had his list of favorites narrowed down to three schools – the Bulls, Louisville and Iowa. After a visit that Grant described as, “A good trip, a very good trip,†that list is now down to two.

  2. On the other hand, I wish you BAD LUCK.  You are a traitor to our school.  After we just had the best year in team history, you are leaving to another Big East school.  You piece of trash

    That's classic.   ;D

Of all the assisants who have left so far I am most disapointed with coach Fry. Not only was he good recruiter but he was also a part of the original staff. You would have hoped he would have shown more loyalty to the program than to ditch us for a conference rival right before national signing day. Especially since it appears that it was not money related.

  3. the 3 teams that finished ahead of usf this year in big east recruit by star method

Some of the bigger names for those three teams...

WVU - Slayton & P. White were both 3 star players. Dan Mozes 2 stars.

Rutgers - Ray Rice 3 stars. Mike Teel 2 stars.

UL - Harry Douglas & Mario Urrutia 3 stars.

With the exception of Brohm & Bush (both 4 stars) ratings meant very little in projecting impact players. If stars had any real significance Pitt would be atop the BE every year.

  4. It's not bold... just fact.

I would be really disappointed if we didn't. They are losing a huge chunk of their team and, knocking on wood, it looks like we not only will be returning almost everybody but even the positions where we are losing somebody we are reloading with similar or better talent. There is not a single game I expect this team to lose. Obviously it will be very tough but we are capable.

  5. Ok, I'm still a little confused by the language with recruits.

Is there a difference between verbally committing and comitting until they sign a letter of intent, or is there an actual agreement that comes with "committing" at least until national signing day? Can they still back out if the are listed as commited and havn't signed a LOI?

It's just a verbal agreement that they are free to back out of at any time. It's not final until they sign the LOI.

  6. to Kansas City.  Good deal for him. He should finally get the opportunity to start, even if it is in K.C.

"The left-handed hitter with the Gold Glove-caliber defense at first base served as one of the more popular and versatile influences in the White Sox clubhouse. Many people within the White Sox system believe Gload could be a .280 to .290 hitter with 80 RBIs potential if he received more consistent at-bats during the season, a change which is apparently on the horizon for Gload in Kansas City.
