This seems like a tailor made opportunity to add a quality opponent. Even if we had to take a road trip to ATL to play GA Tech I think it's worth it. That's an attention getter game. We'll earn a lot of people's respect just for scheduling that game. Go in and win it and I think pollsters would reward the Bulls very nicely.

If you are looking for national exposure and rankings. Correct. We are on the outside of the fence and it is rigged to keep the G5 out. The announcers even said no way a G5 team would get a #2 ranking like we did 10 years ago. You want to build a national program and get the recognition winning the conference doesn't do it. You have to dominate every game to get talked about like the P5 teams due just by the legacy of their conferences. Like it or not as a G5 team we have to overachieve and bury the opponents who are perceived as weak.
Some on here don't understand that. Winning isn't enough when the odds against us are so long. Each game needs to be a statement.

Even after that abysmal start I still say we cover the spread in the end. Really hope we pour it on.

With as weak as our schedule is I absolutely believe we have to keep our foot on the gas for 60 minutes every single game.

Ben's pick six vs WVU is still my favorite in person memory as a Bulls fan. I lost my voice for a week after.

Ugh. Heartbreaker.

Class act and superb coach. He should be a coordinator or hc some place.

Of course I'm talking FBS ranking.

BG was our first ever win over a ranked opponent.

Fun game. Hopefully we get another route Tuesday vs Memphis to set up the monster showdown with L'ville. Winning that game would be a nice way to get the taste of that UConn loss out of our mouths. Plus it would give the lady's a nice confidence boost for the rest of the season leading up to the rematch on Feb. 27th.

McCants. Duh. Kid is an athletic freak.

Not that at all. It's the idea that if we don't go undefeated we should all be depressed. This was the thought process we had a few years ago. Every loss was a complete meltdown.
Then we found out that things could get a lot worse.
It will be great if we do undefeated. But we don't need to have a complete meltdown if we lose a game, or three.
If we go 12-2 and win the conference I will be elated. I've experienced all the highs and lows of the past. I remember the Pat Julmiste/Ronnie Banks era when I thought it couldn't get any worse. And then I learned it could. I was at the WVU & UCF games in 2007 and didn't think it could possibly get better than that. I think this year it did.
That's the beauty of following a team you love. If you stick around long enough you'll get to experience just about every emotion there is with them. I don't think expectations are a bad thing. Especially if they're realistic.

Here we go again.
Honestly, am I being unrealistic? Look at our schedule vs who we are bringing back from our team that just went 11-2. I personally think we were the best team in the AAC this year. With what should be an improved D next year and a weaker AAC I can't envision a loss to any conference foe next year.
Illinois, San Jose St, & UMass went a combined 9-27 this season. Stony Brook had a losing record as a FCS team. Losing to any of those teams wouldn't be a total disappointment?
Hell, I'm not saying we will or should be in the playoffs and be a perennial national powerhouse. I'm just saying everything points to an improved team, weaker conference, and weaker schedule overall. So going from 11-2 to 14-0 doesn't feel like much of a leap to me. But if you enjoy setting your goals and expectations low then have fun with that. Go Bulls!

With our schedule next year, we'd better go 14-0.
Anything less barring a catastrophic injury situation would be a total disappointment.

My wish would be 5 consecutive undefeated seasons. Which would take care of everything else.
