  1. We need to take care of our own house and get things right instead of talking up anything. This is time for action.

    Go Bulls!

Winning definitely helps...but there are many teams winning and none of the P5 is calling.  Winning in college football comes and goes.  Ex:  Baylor, Duke.  What I'm saying is halt the negative nancies, and start selling USF (and the rivalry with UCF) like it's Wonder Bread, even if it's stale.  Words travel fast, and if your own fans are down on the program, then how in the world will anybody be up for it?

  2. UF football is in a standstill and experiencing their own changes.  UM football has not been what they used to be in a long time.  Both of those programs have not had the same appeal with their rivalry against FSU.

We need to embrace UCF and vice versa as if we are brothers.  We can both hate each other because that's what we do in sports, but we need them just as much as they need us.  We need to talk the rivalry up like it has been the best for both programs, even if it is not true, and that we could be our own brand of "Rivalry" in the state of Florida.  Even though it is just rumors going around about the Big 12 expansion, we all need to be sales people and start selling the positive factors involving USF and UCF.  I mean, from one coast to the other, the vast amount of alumni and potential interest in a new rivalry is ready to blossom.  We can all contribute and get both of us into a P5 by talking a big game about the potentials of having both of these teams in a P5 conference.  To who, you shall say?  To anyone!  Even to FSU, UF, and UM fans.  In this country, where not only money talks, but also rumors (true or not) spread like a virus.  If you truly care about your Alma mater be the sales person that can sell the gum off the bottom of your shoe.  Pretend you are telling the little league coach your son/daughter can hit the crap out of the ball even when you know he/she is afraid of standing at the plate.  Worry about how you are going to teach him to hit later.  Let's get that opportunity!

I thought our players did one thing really well regarding our last game with UCF:  talked a big game.  Yes, we got shut-out, but I believe they were trying to do more than just hyping themselves up for the game.  And that was to sell the the next big thing:  USF vs UCF!!  Don't dwell on the negatives, because there will always be at least one, even during times of success.  If we don't all effect more positive images of this brand (USF vs UCF), we will find ourselves joining UAB very soon.

  3. Exactly!!!!! Its almost like he he is paying too much attention to twitter and the internet...white is the best qb on this team and its not even close ....

the bad thing is that White can look at times like the worst QB on our roster. I can't understand why, as he's shown ability, like saving us from another loss tonight. I doubt the coaches really believed that QF showed enough in practice, otherwise they'd have let him throw it more. And that's an indictment of our coaches.
Is it a stretch to say cwt played mind games with white???
  4. I feel bad for SMU.

Seriously? I guarantee no one ever feels bad for us.
Yes, I do. I'm not sure how other people's feelings about us have any bearing on my feelings on SMU in this game. Do you have any other questions?

Don't over-interpret my internet reply...im not flaming you. You can feel bad for smu, while i feel bad for us.

  5. You know...im going to stop looking at our program from the perspective of where we have been, but rather of looking where we are going and where we are starting from. Right now, we are starting from scatch, as if we just started practicing at the old soccer stadium.

We should schedule kentucky weslyan again. No sarcasm intended.

  6. Lets face it...we are just not a good football program, let alone a good football team.

Guys are missing assignments on defense, guys are commmitting silly penalties, qb play is suspect, program has experienced too much instability, fans are too impatient and unrealistic, etc., etc. The list goes on.

10 years from now we should be semi relevant again.

  7. When you're young, you don't possess much common sense or rather:  care to use common sense.  I wouldn't dare to be out at 3 am now, especially in this city (one of the worst crime rates in the country), especially around USF.

When I was Jaleel's age, 3 am was the happening time, especially from Wednesday through Saturday.  I didn't use much common sense back then either same as many 18 19 year-olds, but I got very lucky during my stupid years.  I use to hang out at the Chi Phi (not a brother) house quite often late into the night and that frat house was probably in the sketchiest neighborhood in the area.  Many times me and my buddies would go pick up 50 wings from Wing N It on Fletcher at 4 am in the morning just to save on delivery fees/tip.  How incredibly stupid is that?  I would be pretty ticked off if my sons did something silly like that just to save a few bucks, but they probably will once they're in school.  I will just pray for their safety.

Crime happens to both good people and bad people.  Crime can happen when you are sitting in your car late at night or just hanging out in your own apartment (ie:  the recent sexual assaults, home invasion, gun waving individual running through college apartments here around 138th.)

The area around USF is ugly and the city of Temple Terrace is ugly.

  8. Oh boy, the old, 'but at least I have my health' comments...

JTrue is right, we suck at Football but I am always proud to be a Bull. Man o man do I want this dumpster fire to turn sooner than later, give us the old 8-5 years!

Oh man, how I wish for an 8 - 5 season as well.  Those were the days.  We were just moaning and groaning about bowl games and not winning championships then.  LMAO.

  9. MG is a player with a lot of gridiron heart.  Don't know him personally from Fred to Sally, but the moment he stepped on that football field I got this great feeling that he is going to leave everything on that turf.  Never seen him yell at his teammates for mistakes nor have I ever seen try to motivate them through words alone, but rather his play on the field fired everybody up more than any other QB that has gone through this program.

I wanted to cry when he hurt his knee.  Dang, we just need a few of those guys around the talent that we have today.  We would be talking about something else for once.  Haven't seen a leader like MG since he played, IMHO.
