  1. The Jury decided that the case had no merit and U of L was innocent of any wrong dealings. http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/14224438.htm
  2. The Louisville Offense only played like five set plays during the UK game, mostly hand offs to the RB. I won't point to the UK game as an example of the Louisville team you will face, it never is.
  3. It is not a sad thing, it is what happens when you have a successful program, Pitino has been the mentor for a great deal of college head coaches and NBA coaches. ::goodbye::
  4. ND is my second favorite team and I still think that comment is ignorant to the extreme.
  5. Super Bowl MVP!! This is good exposure to show that the new Big East teams aren't new to producing NFL talent!!
  6. Louisville got a last minute guy that was either going to Notre Dame or Louisville and he was four stars, so Louisville's class may rise.
  7. Actually Louisville's class is slightly underrated because we have two top JUCO's and they only count for half the points that High Schoolers do, but we are getting some great talent both for the future and to meet immediate needs.
  8. Not exactly but winning cures alot of ills. All the "big" boys are calling us Cards fans whiners because they say that is stuff they put up with every year. Personally I think with all the Drama John L. Smith and Bobby Petrino have brought us over staying or going, it is worse than normal but whatever. We were spoiled by Denny Crum staying in Louisville for 30 years, ok the last few years weren't so hot but point is we are used to good coaches like Howard Schnellenburger, Frank Camp, and Denny Crum staying for a decade or so before moving on. Personally this is my perspective, Petrino is a good coach and good for the university, that said right now the average Louisville fan trust him about a far as they can throw him not to run off to the first SEC power that ask. Luckly for us most the SEC is turned off by the lack of Loyalty he has shown to us, so he is probably in the best position for himself that he can get and that benifits both Louisville and the BigEast in the long term (I hope).
  9. I think that he is sort of spoiled goods for awhile with all the controversy, by the time he wins enough games in the Big East that his "ethics" aren't a factor anymore, he might be making enough to really want to stay at Louisville.
  10. He withdrew his name from consideration the day after the Liberty Bowl win.
  11. As a Card fan this pains me to say it. But honestly I would love to see Memphis join. They bring good Basketball, and improving football program and a natural and long standing rivalry with Louisville and Cincy.
  12. We (Louisville) won again today though. 93 to 63 against Chaminade.
  13. Forget Southern Miss!! Memphis - southern game closer for both of us plus good basketball and decent Football UCF - Second Florida connection good for recruiting, southern game. Rival for you guys. Do they play Basketball? Notre Dame- Good Basketball and famous tradition of football locks the BCS connections, National recruiting implications. Penn State- Another traditional power and historically Big East team.
  14. It is more about opening the New 4th Street Live Venue than anything else the place is a lot of fun and they are hold different events down there to draw everyone in town to promote it. They had a thing there for the two Layla Ali and Mike Tyson's fights, they had a country concert, Orlando Bloom was hanging out down there when he was in town filming a movie, and so they wanted to draw the Louisville fans down. The Big East thing is a good excuse for a party! It is not to thumb the nose at anyone, but who cares what Memphis and Southern Miss fans thinks anyway, no matter what we do they will hate on us. Forget them. ;D
  15. This is a non-story that guy was not that good and what he is upset about is that U of L recruited instate players or talked about moving players like Tinch and Bush that are better than him to his postition and Petrino was giving them a chance to take away "his" starting position. So he got mad and quit and took his ball home.
  16. No Bulldoug I think that is about right! UK thought that they were going to spank us last year. It wasn't until we beat them and Syracuse that people started paying attention to the offense, remember the year before Ragone was a Heisman hopeful, but the Offensive line was horrid. That horrid line got alot better the next year and now is pretty strong, but coming in to the season U of L was coming in with what had been a bad line and a new RB and QB.
  17. Not trying to be a braggart but I think you may be under estimating the Cards.  I think it is very possible that we go 8-3 or better.  We have the best offensive group we have ever had, only the defense is suspect because there are alot of new faces.  The SFU game is one I really want to go to, should be alot of fun, you all should come up and check out our nightlife, 4th Street Live should be alot of fun that night!! On the QB question you are both right, we have one of the best QB recruits in the nation from last season that picked us over Tennessee, Notre Dame UK and the Illini, he may see some PT but Stephan Lefors is going to be our starting QB and he is pretty darn good. No Freshmen is going to take his job right off, but Brian Brohm will see some time under center. Our O line, and running backs are great and we have the deepest WR crew we have ever had. We should not have a problem putting points on the board and controling the game, but the question is will our defense stop the other guys from scoring more than us.
