  1. This was a tidbit from the article Brad posted about Auggie but I think this really stood out to me.

Jimmy was a 4 star recruit and a huge get for CWT.  He had offers from Miami and others but what is shocking to me is that he was brought in as an athlete more of a Safety or even WR but since being here he has added 40 lbs of muscle and is now at LB.

If he kept the speed that he had and added the 40 lbs of muscle then he will be a FORCE.  I look forward to seeing #4 out on the field this season.

Here is the clip from the article.

    Bulked-Up Bayes

Jimmy Bayes has put on a lot of size since arriving on campus and he’s moving with it well this fall.

Playing as USF’s “Stinger†weakside linebacker, Bayes has been running with the first-team defense in practice.

“I just have to try to be consistent, do my assignments and just play ball,†he said.

The redshirt freshman out of Immokalee High School adds a lot of physicality to the defense. Bayes has bulked up to 230 pounds, about 40 pounds heavier than when he arrived on campus.

“I worked out really hard because I wanted to be solid muscle,†he said. “I give a lot of credit to my strength and conditioning staff. They gave me a plan and I followed it.â€

  2. One example that comes to mind is the thread on Asantii.  It originally began to announce that he was transferring...there were about 10 pages full of comments/speculation/trashing holtz, etc.

Then it was confirmed that he was coming to USF.  This, in my opinion, should have been another separate thread.  If you come to this board and see a title "Asantii Woulard is transfering...." and have to go through 14 pages of speculation to find out something was actually confirmed.

Just because both topics are about Asantii I don't think both topics are the same.  One to announce he is transferring.  One to announce he is coming to USF

  3. I understand the need to moderate the board.  I get it.

However, for someone like myself who isn't on this board every single day, I think it is a little too much.

I don't even bother coming here much anymore because I don't have time to sift through 30 page topics to find good information.

Just because a player or topic was brought up 6 months ago doesn't mean that we can't have a separate thread on the same player or topic if something new develops.

This board was a great place for information and now it just seems boring because there are like 10 active threads with 400+ posts of a few guys just going back and forth.  Good information might still be there but casual visitors like myself won't see it.

    Just my 2 cents.

  4. We had a very small window and we missed it.  Now we aren't even the best non-power 5 team in our state.

Unless USF looks at football as an investment and really shells a lot of money into the program without it being there from donors/ticket sales then we will continue to be an average mid-major program that makes a bowl game that no one cares about every few years.

  5. I know it isn't USF related but we just aired the first episode of The Plank last night.  it is a live streaming show about the Bucs on ABC Action News app/online.  The show is hosted by our two sports anchors (Tom Korun and John Sable) but some how I ended up doing a quick segment on fantasy football.

Everyone's favorite reporter, Greg Auman, did a great job calling into the show and I think Greg will be a regular part of the show...as will my segment.

This was my first time ever being on camera and had to do this without a teleprompter or script so please be kind.

I think it is a cool show idea that we put together though.  The majority of the show, which is what Tom and John do, is kinda like a Mike and Mike type format.  Fans call in and ask questions or voice opinions.  Because it is streaming over the web, it can be a little more raw than what you would see broadcast.  This was the first episode and there were some kinks but it could end up being really cool.

  6. people around here have taken shots at UCF's stadium since it was built.  however, it is still an OCS and there is a big difference.  Sure, RayJay is nice but it isn't ours.  I think we need to get something up on campus in the next 10 years.

That being said, if you win you get atmosphere.  Just look at the USF vs WVU game.  I had friends who went to FSU with me at that game and they said it was just as loud, if not louder than any game they went to at Doak.
