  1. Id have no complaints with that matchup. Im hoping Toronto does win the series, as I feel Ottawa is the one team the Lightning have had problems with. TB vs. Boston, who would you be rooting for VG?
  2. St. Louiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!! Big time goal by a little man. There is absolutely nothing better than OT playoff hockey. Awesome, just awesome. Lightning to the second round for the second straight year. Bulin, another solid game. No shutout, but great game. Bring on the Leafs (or Sens).
  3. They still have some extremely good pitching in Beckett, Penny, Willis and Pavano. They also play in what is now appearing to be a relatively weak division. Just wait to they get Burnett back and healthy also. Outside of Philly(if they get it turned around sometime), I dont see anyone else giving them competition in winning the division.
  4. Most difficult pitch to throw. Its extremely hard to even throw ONE knuckleball, yet to do it all the time and with sometype of idea of where the hell you are throwing it.
  5. **** 3-0 already with only 1 out. I hate both these teams, so I have no idea who to root for. I guess it doesnt matter, they're both just playing for second behind the D-Rays.
  6. Exactly MM. If a women qualifies she can play. If a women is a guest of a member, she can play. Yes **** our govt. for actually allowing citizens to form a PRIVATE club, funded by PRIVATE money, and invite only who they want. Im sorry, but this PC shiznitz is the primary reason why I hate liberals. I mean we're talking about a freakin golf course. I dont have the #'s in front of me but Im pretty sure Shapes Gym (an all womens gym chain-you against that too Smazza?) has loads more members than Augusta National.
  7. Yes, thats real proof, someones face getting chubbier as they get older. I guess I must be on roids then too. Did notice you didnt comment on his stats though, sorry but no one has much arguement there.
  8. He had 3 MVP's as a Pirate. Yeah I guess he sucked back then, HUH? The gold gloves, the 30-30 years, the 40-40 year, the nearly 500 HR's he had before '01. Before '01, he lead the NL in OBP 4 times, in SLG % 3 times, in OPS 5 times, in BB's 6 times and HR's once. Yeah, I guess he only got good once he was on roids ??? (which once again, we have no proof of, but what do you all care).
  9. Yeah I guess those 6 MVP's are all a joke? I guess him being the only member of the 500-500 club make him a pretender? I guess holding the single season record for OPS, OBP, SLG %, BB's and HR's are all a joke also ???
  10. Im a huge hockey fan also, although no there isnt many on these boards as most threads I have started get very little response. However, how about those BOLTS. The Bulin Wall has been freakin amazing. Only 2 goals against him (the third was an empty netter) in 4 playoff games. Thats just awesome. Especially since the Bolts havent played the greatest defense and have given up some pretty good scoring chances. Hope they can finish the Isles tommorrow so they can get the extra rest and wait for the winner of the Leafs/Sens (unless Jersey or Montreal can pull off the comeback).
  11. But once again, at the time of Bonds' suspected use, the substance wasnt illegal nor outlawed by MLB, so how is that cheating? Probably atleast 50-75% of major leaguers have used either Creatine or sometype of "uppers" (caffeine pills, ephedra, etc...). They didnt have these during Ruths time either, so does that throw out all statistics for the past 5-10 years for everyone.
  12. No people dont care. Ruth hit his HR's with no minorities in the league, so I guess he deserves an asterisk also. And how did Bonds cheat. Even if it is found he used the drugs supplied from BALCO (still no actual proof of this yet), it was a drug not outlawed by MLB. He broke no rules and therefor cant "cheat". Just admit your a Bonds hater and move on.
  13. Impressive start for the D-Rays "ace". And its hard to take anything away from him since two of those victories came against the Yanks. If the rest of the staff can pick it up, especially Gonzalez who was looking good at the end of last year but has started off extremely poorly, the D-Rays should definetly finish above .500. At the very least, they will continue to be a lot more entertaining this year as opposed to the last few years. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=240411130
  14. Once a fan favorite, Bubba Trammel is back with the D-Rays. April 11, 2004 Signed outfielder Bubba Trammell to a minor league contract and assigned him to Durham of the International League (AAA).
  15. Especially on a holiday where a vast majority of people are off, at home with family, and itching to start watching football. The game being during the day would help also with viewership. Potential to be the best exposure USF has ever had.
  16. Especially exposure on ESPN with a packed house in RJS. Im actually hoping for this to happen since I have to be out of town for the 4th and 5th but could be back if the game is on Labor day.
  17. Does CUSA have a whole lota say into which one of its teams go where? From my understanding it will be that bowl's committee who choses the teams based on how that team is going to sell their bowl (attendance, tv audience, etc..) Im sure CUSA may have some say into the bowls, but ultimately the decision will rest with the individual bowls. Id least I hope thats correct.
  18. How is Bonds hitting an "ungodly" amount of HR's? He's only had one season of 50+ homeruns in his career. If hitting between 40-50 homeruns most years is "ungodly" then we an awful lot of players in the majors hitting "ungodly" amounts of homeruns. Atleast get the facts straight if you're gonna be another Bonds basher.
  19. For those of you who celebrate it, just wanted to wish a Happy Easter to BULLNATION. ;D
  20. Sorry gotta milk this as long as I can, especially with the Yanks losing (currently) today to the ChiSox. The offense has looked light years better from last year. Tino has been solid, Cruz has started off extremely hot, and Hall is starting to look like the player he was suppose to. I know its early, but I still think a third place finish is a definite possibility. Side note: How long until the Tigers come back down to earth? I say they will be under .500 in no less than two weeks.
  21. Please, someone give us unfortunate folk who couldnt make the game some updates as soon as you can. Im itching to find out how the QB's looked.
  22. And that isnt "forcing morality" as you like to put it. Its a private club, theres probably hundreds if not thousands of private clubs that are "men only, or women only, or this only, or that only. and exactly why does woods have to make a stand, he's not a politician, hes a freakin golfer. he has no obligation to make a stand on anything. why does he have to be unfairly burdened with "making a stand for society". Let the man play golf.
  23. Possible Derby favorites (St. Averil and Wimbledon) were no factors in the Santa Anita Derby this past weekend. No dominant horse emerging yet, but the Wood Memorial this weekend might help to determine the favorite. Smazza, you ever visit Santa Anita? My dads been to 31 thoroughbred tracks throughout the US and said Santa Anita was by far the best (although he has yet to hit some of the NY tracks)
  24. Yeah, I guess it was all the roids right? Against Oswalt, who could possibly be the best pitcher in the NL, Bond is 3-3, 2 2B's, HR, 2R, 3RBI's and 1BB. Not a bad start to the season. Bonds now at 659, 1 shy of tying Mays.
  25. man, that was awesome. caught the game as i was getting ready for work. Yankees definetly have pitching problems.
