  1. I think people are making a big deal out of a nothing burger.  CJF is showing support for a fellow USF coach.  Maybe they are friends; maybe they are just work colleagues.  It is more likely a scenario where CJF is showing some personal pride in USF; after all he has been here a long time.

This is the double edge sword of social media.  I can guarantee the coaches want nothing to do with it because of the pitfalls, but it is a necessary evil in today's age in order to reach recruits who are buried in their smartphones when they are not playing sports.

So it says shorts must not be above the knee but they definitely have cheerleader outfits higher than the knee and their cross country athletes wear like 3” shorts. Is athletics exempt?

I mean I totally respect the rules they want to have in place, but there are definitely question marks for me about its relevance to athletics

As someone who attended private school from K to 10th grade, I can say these types of rules are tedious.   I was one of the first boys to start growing facial hair, and I got sent to the principal's office for having a small stubble.  FFS I was in my early teens and did not want to shave every frigging morning.  😅

I really cannot visualize any young adult that would put up with such a restrictive dress code unless they were really into their religion.

    This is even more insane

Hairstyles should be clean and neat, avoiding extreme styles or colors, and trimmed above the collar, leaving the ear uncovered.

Men are expected to be clean-shaven; beards are not acceptable.

Sorry Jesus, you cannot attend BYU.  🤣

  4. The USF app sucks.  I use the Android version.  A lot of times I have to go into the sustem settings -> Apps -> then the USF app.   Then I have to clear the cache and data.  Then I restart the app and it makes me pick my preferences again and then log into my ticketmaster account, where it works again.

I would prefer to just use the Ticketmaster app, but my tickets do not show up there.

This is such a joke.   Did anyone test any of this?  It is not that frigging hard.

    And a pirate ship…

I am so tired of that pirate ship.  It was a fun Disney-esque  novelty when they built it, but only a chosen few are allowed on it.   It is in the way of the Jumbotron, so it is a distraction.  It may work for the Bucs, but at our games it is a constant reminder that we should have build an OCS over a decade ago.

  6. We do not make jack squat at RJS even though we have second in line status after the Bucs.   The Bucs make the majority of the money at our home games.

While an OCS will cost USF money, they would eventually turn a profit because all of the profits from concessions and parking would to to USF.   Even if USF contracted out the concessions and parking to a 3rd party management, USF would still have a better split of the profits, unless we have complete morons in USF administration and they give that away.

  7. I do not know our deal, but what I have heard generically about events at RJS is that the Bucs keep 100% of the first $1 million dollars spent on concessions.  Everything after that is split with the event organizer.  I might be wrong about the $1 million figure, but it is a very high amount.    Have you ever wondered why the old Tampa Stadium used to hold concerts all the time but RJS sits vacant and major acts will avoid Tampa like COVID-19 (could not resist that one).  I know there are not as many stadium touring acts as there were a few years ago, but there still are festivals, and none of them are going to RJS.  They will go to the Citrus Bowl where they can make money.  I think the first musical artist to make money at a concert at RJS was some country act, but I do not remember who.  Brittany Spears played there years ago before she went mental and even with her sold out show she did not make money off any concessions, albeit how much money would teen girls spend at a concert?

  8. I am happy with McClain.   He has to be the starter going forward.  He is mobile and he can actually make a down the field pass.

The offense was horrid in the first half, and the defense was not much better.  I do not know what Coach did in the locker room at halftime, but he woke up our defense.

I feel that Charlie Strong left him with a weak team, and unfortunately we will have another tough year, but I will be happy as long as we make progress.

Was going to check there this weekend. Does the quality seem pretty good?

I used it today and it is decent quality for my needs.  I never used one before, and some helpful guy next to me showed me how to set it up,

We've been using the canopy with the extra foot on each side for a couple of years with no issues. You'll notice quite a few tomorrow.

I saw a few, even one for the other team.  🤮
Those look like a good option, but I am happy with the one I got

The one thing I did not know about is that the sports stores sell weights that hold the tent down so you do not have to use those stupid spikes.   I guess you do not really need that for a tailgate session lasting a few hours, but you never know when a wind gust will come along and sent your tent flying.  🤣
I also found tent leg weights at Amazon, so I will get a set from whomever has the best price and can get it to me by the next game.
