The meme fits perfect. She did put a lot of drug offenders in jail  for a long time, but now claims  tough drug laws are bad.

I am no Kamala Harris defender since I don't like her but there is a difference between where as a head prosecutor you are obliged to follow and enforce the law vs ones personal views regarding said drug laws.

Regardless any updates regarding Battie's health?

So we should fire Mike Kelly?

i was in the lets give him another year or two, but he has to deliver soon crowd, but he delivered and than some.

Considering the Scott and Gregory eras I don't think it was off base  for some to say that  Golesh and Rahim better be good hires, or else Kelly had to go.

I was very skeptical, but I am glad I was proved wrong. My criticism of Kelly was never personal since I couldn't care less who heads the athletic department as long as we are winning and improve our facilities.

Thank you for letting us know that the risk of getting shot goes up after midnight. It was such a needed statement. Everybody also has the freedom of not getting shot if they stay out late. I'm sure if the place closed before midnight, whoever shot him would still be out there. If society stayed home before midnight, then the bad guys would simply do their bad guy stuff b4 midnight.

Yes him being out late is beside the point. Who of us hasn't been out past midnight?

Feel horrible for him, his brother, and his family.

i hope he makes a full recovery.

There was obviously a reason we didn’t sign him. He clearly didn’t pick UNF over us - unless it was a promise of immediate playing time and that’s what he and his Dad wanted for him.

To be honest, personally, no matter how much I love my family, I wouldn't want to be on a team coached by them. It would feel awkward.

SKip just wasnt the man for the USF JOb and didn't meet expectations here  because he lost more games than he won. He had success at  every other stop and unlike the last three head coaches fired from here.

On paper Holtz is probably the best football coach hire we made. But these things never work our or are determined on paper.

  6. I connected my cell phone to my microwave and send a text to Judy. I entered Steins Gate and it created an alternative timeline. We are  5 time National Champions, in the SEC,  and still  coached by Jim Leavitt. Miami is now in the AAC, and UCF folded their program.

Its an anime reference; so i expect confusion.

If you linked this, I'm not seeing it, so posted just in case. Unless Glover is indeed a walk-on or something happened, this can't be about a player this year .....

Great news, but got a bit over excited since for a second I thought it was going to be a USF going to the Big 10 announcement.

Great seeing though that he can recruit. Same goes for Golesh.

So it sounds like we were obligated to play them.

But even if we weren't, they were VERY popular games and highly attended.  By that reason alone the games should have happened - the fans wanted it.

Unless the argument around here is for some esoteric reason that only makes sense on a message boards, we should not play a team down the road because it would give them a small advantage.

If we didn't play them it would seem like we were afraid to play them for some reason.  I think there was some truth to that.

Personally I believe that we should play them every year; whether we are in the same conference or not.

I don't want to sound too critical of a young kid, but this signee I'm not too impressed with, especially with the other players we have at the position.  Time will tell and I do trust CAAR, he has earned that.

Personally i don't know what to make about the new signees so I haven't been overly critical about it, nor have I over praised it.

Like you said time will tell regarding whether they are better compared to what we lost. And I agree that Coach Rahim has earned a lot  goodwill after his first year, so i trust that he knows what he is doing when appraising talent.

That was definitely a top 10 win for USF when Leroy and Leavitt knew how important it was to beat your rival.

What is everyone's top ten wins of all time?

    1) WVU at home with the Thursday night magic. IT was the best home game in USF history for me.

    2) Auburn on the road

    3) FSU on the Road

    4) USF topping ND

    5) 64-12 Massace of UCF

That UCF win is not in my top 10

but the other ones you mentioned plus

Louisville ( was it 2005 when they were top 10?)

That first win against Pitt before we were in the Big East.

bowl win against Clemson and South Carolina

Win at West Virginia (2006?) when they were in the top 10.

I guess if you care about maoing the aac look better , which i dont. I only care about usf and sucks we are here still. It was the ack of investing in athletics by judy and bad coaching hires is the reason we are still in the Aac. Holtz failed here but was successful every where else. Tags was a bad coach and road his  legendary recruting class to get rich and exposed as a headcoach.  Strong never wanted be here and failed to turn it around.  Sadly he is one of three winning football coaches at Usf. Scott was the worsy usf coach ever. Golesh turned it around in year 1 and hopefully can keep moving the program forward. The only way out the Aac is to beat the teams on your schedule and make a case for USF football to any power conference that is interested.

You should always try to surround yourself with the best possible teams. if we are going to be in the AAC adding the best possible teams to the conference should be the goal. Our lack of success has zero to do with the teams that were added a decade ago.

It was a good move for the teams that got out of the AAC Cinncinatti, Houston, SMU, and UCF. It was a terrible move for USF football. It has only lowered our brand and made the program worse.

The fact that we got left behind has nothing to do with UCF. Had we remained a top tier team starting in the second year of Strong, we would likely be in the Big 12 now.

The additions of SMU, Houston, and UCF at the time made the AAC the 6th best conference in the country during their time. So their additions benefited the conference as a whole.

  13. I thank the people involved with Fowler Avenue, and I intend to donate, but as some have said, the more information they share with the public, the more I believe people will donate.

For example a simple " we are raising money for player X; we have raised this amount of money, and we are trying to raise Y amount of money...." would do wonders.
