  1. Oh man, the confidence. I love it! This is my favorite part of checking in on y'all.
  2. What's interesting about this theory is that I have invited and encouraged posters to not engage with me, which is the opposite of trolling. So if I was trolling, then I would be a troll that was so confident in USF fans' insecurity that he could encourage posters to ignore him knowing that they were so desperate for his approval, they would engage no matter what he said.
  3. I know y'all aren't trying to prove my point, but it feels like some of you are trying to prove point.
  4. Sorry, y'all bedtime for me. I'll try to hop on tomorrow.
  5. Could you look that up? I'm engaged with St Pete and I would love to hear your recap.
  6. You said "please don't confuse that with the fact that UCF fans have an inferiority complex". You said it, I just pointed it out. Also, asking the question "why do you take that.." Also demonstrates that you're concerned what and how I perceive you. Its a nice little case we're building here that you're insecure, as well, right?
  7. JTrue! Welcome back. Should I take this as the sign that you're wanting to resume our conversation?
  8. But even while defending yourself (again) by saying it's just fun, you're still concerned with what I think of you.
  9. I'd love it if you expounded on this. Also, any reaction to my hypothesis?
  10. I'm not sure what's passive at all about my interactions. I'm honestly not sure how I could be any more direct. But let's try: my current hypothesis is that one of us is clearly craving acceptance from the other. I've explained my motivation for being here and engaging ad nauseam. Why are you explaining yourself to me? If UCF fans are inferior, why are you defending your definitions and ability to read people? Why not just walk away, ignore the passive aggressive troll? Clearly one of us needs acceptance from the other.
  11. Deflect and reverse psychology, I don't think these words mean what you think they mean. How definitively you read people has everything to do with you. You're the one making the judgments, deciding the right sample size. You even point how important anecdotal evidence is to you. And the judgments you make point to your insecurities. UCF fans all seem to crave acceptance. What are you reading that allows you to see inside someone's head? Are you seeing the craving for acceptance in me?
  12. How do you measure if another person 'craves acceptance' or will 'always be inferior'? Those seem like confident and definitive statements. How is that reverse psychology?
  13. Would you feel embarrassed if a telemarketer did that to you? Seems like you might be another example of insecurity.
  14. In case anyone is reading that as off-topic, I'm interested in the phrasing because I think it points to USFStPete's insecurities, which further proves my point.
  15. That's definitely a possibility. I'm interested in how you phrased that, "crave acceptance" and "always be inferior". If I'm just some UCF troll, feel free to ignore me, but if you're wanting to engage on this stuff, I would be happy to. Again, I'm fine dropping it right there, but if you want to keep commenting, I'll assume you want to talk about it.
  16. If someone responds or initiates a conversation with me, I think it's fair to assume that they're interested in my thoughts and reactions. Pursuing the person's motivations for posting seems like a logical goal to me. Otherwise you're just people yelling at each other through their keyboards. You could just ignore me.
  17. I'm not sure how this is trolling or in what context you could insert a "pwned!" into a thread like this. But I think this is relevant to what we're talking about and I am happy to engage with any USF fans that want to engage with me. If they choose to walk away from thw conversation, I'm happy to let them.
  18. It's a scary situation either way. I don't disagree that taunting the schools that you want to join is counterproductive, but everyone is scared of becoming a Boise State (too nice, not the right extra stuff), or USM (poorly timed losing streak killing the program), or UAB (politics slowly killed them). We're all vulnerable right now. All we can hope for is that things don't crystallize for a while or that we get in if they do.
  19. If you think the times haven't changed, I don't know what to tell you. Where do you think a bottom feeder AAC team ranks among the expansion candidates? If I were y'all, I would be worried about Tulane passing us by.
  20. I don't think you have time. As I said in another thread, any of us could end up like USM if things don't go well during this next round of contracts. Even if you started building an OCS this year, the benefits wouldn't kick for a few years. And you would probably end up with a year or two extra of Strong. In order to bring the fans in, you would need a homerun hire and immediate results. That's all best-case scenario. Your best hope is your big brother brings you along for the ride.
  21. Let's hope the losing doesn't turn into a streak. That would be bad for all of us. From what I read on here, we're your best hope of getting into a P5 conference.
  22. Just pointing out that some of the dislike and even the need to talk about UCF might be coming from USF fans' own insecurities, using examples from this very thread. Also, I can weigh in as one of the rare UCF fans that aren't in a low wage service industry position. But enough about me, let's talk about you. You seem to see yourself to be a psychology expert, were you a psych major? Edit: I make that assumption because of how you weighed in. It seems to be important to you that people know your value in evaluating psychology.
