  1. I would agree with that if CUSA annexed the remaining four football schools, but I’m ok agreeing to disagree. I usually just lurk on this board, but the logic in that article was bad enough that it deserved a comment.
  2. From the article: “Also, we have history to look at. The Big East used to exist as a football conference. When the ACC came calling, it was all over in the blink of an eye. Nobody in the Big East attempted to patch the holes as the ship sank. The league just splintered and collapsed.” It didn’t collapse. It raided CUSA and changed its name to the AAC. The history completely disproves the author’s point.
  3. This is a ridiculously bad article. The PAC 12 would have no leverage? Even with two teams, they would have a lot of leverage. The Big East split apart? Is that what happened? I thought they raided CUSA. I don’t love when fans post their random opinion as an article, but I guess that’s realignment journalism these days.
  4. This is a good response to a strange thought. Y'all are so confident in where you're heading that you don't care where your competitors for the division title are at? You probably should. I guarantee you that UCF fans are paying attention to Cinci, Houston, and Memphis during the off-season.
  5. I love this board SO much. This thread is fantastic. I never get tired of how USF fans see their program. "We were number 2 once!" "We've had good attendance in the past!" "2-for-1's are a sign of respect!" "We're bottom feeders in the AAC because we're too good for it!" Please keep going, I could listen to this stuff forever.
  6. The break up of the Big East came at a bad time for us. We were forced to accept whatever the P5 wanted to give us. If the AAC looked then as it does now, the two groups of schools would not have gotten locked into the same arrangement.
  7. *shrug It's a rebuilding year with a freshman QB. Some of us saw this coming. Some of us bought into the playoff talk.
  8. It was already responded to previously. But it is less fun to talk football when your team is out of contention for a playoff spot or NY6 bowl.
  9. At this point, I think there is plenty of evidence that you come to this board to troll. People that don't like trolls ignore them, but you initiate more arguments than you respond to. You also ignore any logical progression that you don't agree with and seem to be looking for opportunities for 'zingers' rather than finishing any debates. I doubt you've ever admitted to being wrong on this board. If we're both concerned the other is trolling, let's just go our separate ways and agree to disagree. I'll have you on ignore from here on out. Good luck and God bless.
  10. So how you deal with trolls is to babysit them and give them the attention they're looking for? Ok, now I'm thinking you're not a UCF parody, you're just a Bullspen-level USF fan.
  11. So you're the prey on this scenario? Again, having trouble believing this isn't some parody account. What is something only someone who went to USF would know?
  12. So now I'm a troll who doesn't troll because he's afraid of trolling? What is the chance that you're a UCF fan pretending to be a USF fan to make USF look dumb? If that is it, please stop. And especially now after they got their asses kicked, now would be a good time to give them a break. Wasn't right for them to gloat over us from the Big East, doesn't make it right to gloat/mock them now.
  13. I'm not sure if trying to have a reasonable debate is going to work around here right now, SquareKnight. Good on you for making the attempt, though.
  14. If all I'm interested in is pwning y'all, why am I not commenting on the games today? If I'm a troll, why do I stay off the main board and respond more than initiate? I've been quite consistent: I'm here for interesting conversations with a fanbase that is at a fascinating point in their history. I'm not trying to embarrass anyone, but I do get frustrated that y'all haven't been able to keep up like other fanbases have. It's tough to have interesting conversations when y'all don't read or understand the threads.
