Everyone needs to tone it down a bit, we have won one freaking FBS game in the past 3 years and it was Temple.  We may have lost a little weight but we are still the fat chick standing against the wall hoping someone will ask us to dance, can’t be too picky.

Agreed. I would take the Big 12 in a heartbeat if they were the only offer. IMO it would be awesome playing Cincinnati, West Virginia and ucf again. Bring it on.

I have never understood why AAC agreed to a TV contract with CBS knowing most games would be on CBSSN, not gonna reach many people (myself included 🙄).

It’s because minor league college football is normally relegated to the minor league sports network carriers.

First time in a few years we're not doing a roadie.  My hope for the season is to still be in my seats in the 4th quarter

No road games for me and I will be at 5 of the 6 home games (only missing the Rice game on 9/23).

We have an OCS on the way so something has got to give. If our AD was coaching the games i would be worried but fortunately he is going to find someone that can eventually

Not eventually. If Golesh is a disaster, MK will be a goner and someone else will be trying to find that elusive winning football coach .

  5. I am back for the season, although its a psychological disorder that keeps me coming back (kidding).  The only home game I am going to miss this season is the Rice game, since I will be in Vegas that weekend for the Raiders/Steelers game.  The OCS is my carrot on a stick that keeps me coming back.  If that OCS falls through...............

I'm sorry y'all, you know I'm a giant fan. But that slate of opponents isn't terribly motivating to want to pay and travel to go see. I've been to Navy a few times; if I hadn't, that would be the only interesting one. Memphis the city is somewhat cool if you haven't been. Jeez I miss the BE.

The reality of our new conference is setting in.... not really any home games I'm excited for the opponent either. Our opponents are barely collectively what we played in the first 6 years of our football program. The risk of getting shellacked 69-0 by Bama was worth it the last time we played them about 20 years ago, and it was an amazing away game trip. Now? Yeesh. The pain of that Wisconsin loss and all the losses the past 6 years to anyone with a pulse is still depressing me even now to the point where I have to wonder whether I'd rather just tailgate for that game because it avoids the heartbreak I will inevitably have when we can't hang with Bama for even a quarter. I am hopeful Coach Go is the man and his staff can whip us back into shape. But dear lord.... please give us a chance to upgrade conferences before seeing OUR team as really the only draw to games loses its lustre for all but the most hardcore of the fanbase. I'm hopeful the new stadium will add to our appeal for a conference like the ACC, which is of course seems like just a silly dream after the last round of ascensions. But until and if that ever happens, I'll make due with coming to games only to see our team play and caring nothing for the basement level opponents, but I can only hope the fanbase sticks around for the same until the new stadium boosts our future prospects.

Agreed. These next three seasons at RayJay are going to be brutal. I can just imagine how dead and depressing that Charlotte game will be Thanksgiving weekend zzzzzzzzzzx

We could be looking at the 3 main sports all in year 0 tear down and rebuilds at the same time…good  job USF athletics #stability

And it wasn't terribly hard to figure out this was going to happen back when these extensions were announced in January 2022.

Golesh even said last week that someone else would be speaking to the Sports Club about USF football in 3 years if NIL didn’t get going. Based off on that comment, I got the sense that he knows that the pressure is on, and that the clock is ticking…hope he can deliver.

Agree with him on that.  I figure it will be about halfway through the 2024 season when it will become clear if he is "the guy" or not.  I think most of us figured out Jeff Scott wasn't the guy after that embarassing loss to Tulane in November 2021.  We should know alot about Golesh about midway through Year 2.

With that being said, even if it looks like Golesh was a mistake, and its halfway through his Year 2, I do think he should still be given a third season to try to correct the ship.  If Jeff Scott can get a year three with a 3-18 record, then Golesh certainly would deserve that as well.

We started going straight downhill upon his hire whether he has some responsibility or not we will find out. If Golesh doesn't go bowling by year 2 then AD MK has to go.

Golesh will get three seasons to prove his worth. I do believe that if he ends up being a disaster that reminds the faithful of Jeff Scott, neither he or MK will be around when that stadium opens in 2026.

Normally we'd be buying tickets and making hotel and/or plane reservations. But not to be this year. Hoping we get to the home games.

I haven't been to an away game since 2017 and I don't see myself attending one anytime soon.  Six home games is more than enough for me with this team.

I'm just praying for a 7pm kick off. I know we are getting spanked, just would rather not have to sit in 95 degree weather to witness is. If its a nooner, I 'll stick around until half time unless we are within 17.

I am predicting that the game will be 7pm on SEC Network
