@USFRaider According to ASU fans he deserved to be fired two or three years ago. But, the A.D. is his buddy and kept kept covering for him and covering for him until the boosters wanted both Herm and the AD Ray Anderson gone. As the heat got turned up on Anderson he decided to go ahead and give up Herm. Fired after the game last week - a loss to Eastern Michigan or some team like that.
Did ASU look like unprepared and incompetent buffoons under Herm? Or were they losing close games like Nebraska under Frost?

How fast does CJS stop talking about the OCS knowing that he will never coach a game in it ?

When the heat gets close to the AD, the AD fires someone just like Herm Edwards last week. That was a desperate act of a desperate Athletic Director.
I don’t follow ASU. Did Herm deserve to be fired?

It’s looking like he was correct. Good for Timmy in that he escaped from the dumpster fire

I feel bad for the Bulls faithful that spent their hard earned money to travel up to Louisville and witness this garbage.

Any watch parties in the Bradenton/Sarasota area?

He has to win a road game sometime, doesn’t he? It’s getting comical that here we are in Year 3 and he has yet to win on the road.

No way.
A 1-11 season would mean 1 FBS wins in 3 years.
No way you can justify that - or a 4th year - by any means. As long as the team shows heart, winning is irrelevant.

Yes, particularly in comparison to Taggart's years 1 and 2 and Strong's years 2 and 3. CJS year 1 was also still a struggle to turn the character of the locker room around. Last year, some players were more engaged than others, and the team did show some cohesion, but it just wasn't an exceptional amount nor was it thoroughly the entire team. Some individuals stood out as giving a high level of effort, like Jennings, Cecil, and Grier. The absolute lowest point was the Wisconsin loss, when players on the sidelines audibly said things about how little they cared, how stupid the coaching staff was, and how they were just there there for gettin paid, which I can only imagine must have been a reference to their scholarship (pretty sure this was pre-NIL and nobody would have offered them deals anyway).
Show that effort, keep heart, invest in the brotherhood... reflect the values of the school we love, and I'll follow 'em through a wall.
I am certainly happy you aren’t making any coaching decisions if you would be satisfied with a 1-11 record.

Night games are so much better. I can hit the Hard Rock in the afternoon and the game at night.

I am **** proud of our team for that game in the Swamp and we could win no more games this season but give that level of effort and intensity and I won't give a darn what the scoreboards show. THAT was USF football, the USF football we all know and love. Wins are nice, but heart and passion are what we see in you and inspire us to reflect it back.
So you would be fine with a 1-11 season as long as their is effort?

Hopefully the passing game can get going when conference play begins. Bohanon’s passing ability has been the biggest disappointment so far this season. I expected a lot better.

I hope we can get a lot of these guys back for 10/1 against ECU. That game is more important than the game in Louisville.

Looks like I am back to paying my own way to Vegas lol. Small risk high reward bet though so I won’t be sleeping on the street tonight or anything.
Since Strong’s last season I have made a nice profit betting against/for USF because they have been incredibly predictable. Maybe that is finally changing. Time will tell.

GB is a great RB and a terrible QB right now
It’s becoming apparent why the Baylor coach went with Shapen

I thought tacos el gordo was as advertised. Also I've never seen more exposed body parts walking around. That was 90% a plus. Weather was like hot breath with 100 degrees and wind though!
If USF ever played @UNLV, it would be a USF road game I would actually attend.

I finally went for the first time. What a ridiculous place. It was fun.
Love the city. I will be there in five weekends for the Raiders/Texans game. I love the city and Allegiant Stadium so much that I have adopted UNLV as my second favorite college team.
What good would firing the coach

And if the team finishes 2-10 or 3-9? Does Kelly let him see WKU on 9/2/23?
