I dislike UCF also, but all of you acting like they were not #1, 2, or 3rd best team in the country sound like you're just upset because they were better than us.  All things considered, they absolutely have a claim to be national champs. They were undefeated, and beat the team that beat the recognized national champs.

    No they don't

That's why losing a series that you should have won at Houston is regrettable. Hopefully they can pull it together and upset ECU for a series win.

I'm not sure why "they should have won" that series?  Good team on the road.  Winning the series is always preferred, but taking 1 out of 3 is ok.

BIG WEEK! Win three of those four and it's a great week.

2 out of 4 will be great if those 2 are ECU

In defense of the coaching staff you generally want to pick a line that works great together and is cohesive.  Also in a center they maybe looking at leadership qualities now and worry over the summer about strength or understanding the offense better.  Life isn't fair and often you will learn just because you feel you are the most qualified doesn't mean everything.  Also, pick your battles wisely.

From this display, it would seem that he isn't great in either category

He’s essentially whistleblowing. From his perspective it sounds like he tried several times to air his grievances in private; like you all wanted. At some point you need to discuss things publicly to get attention. If his accusations are true, maybe Maddox will be more fair? Maybe CCS will pay more attention and uncover that this was true?

Is Kesha supposed to keep private what happened to her too? When nobody internally gave a crap  or believed her? What’s so different here? If true, he was met with complete ineptitude and Maddox deserves to have some disciplinary actions.

lol, not getting enough playing time = sexual assault?   This is whining because he didn't play enough.  If you don't like the way you are being treated transfer somewhere else.

I hate UCF but they were possibly and arguably the best team in college football last year. Now with Milton coming back and a lot of talent, how can ESPN justify putting UCF at 55ish?? There are 54 better looking teams than UCF? We can also scratch our heads about how USF has finished in the top 25 two straight seasons but is 63. ESPN is such a joke

ucf was no where near the best team in college football last year .....

It is a fact the coaches messed up the starting o line for the first game and also it is a fact the coaches don't take enough chances to keep opposing defenses balanced.  All the rest of it is hard to determine but it doesn't appear it was handled properly at the end, hence the tweet.  Coaches need to be a lot better at handling young men than for it to go this far.  :2cents:

    Pretty sure those are opinions

The lightning capital of the world isn’t Tampa. We’re not even the lightning capital of the U.S. Just an FYI so we don’t repeat things that aren’t true about our own school and town. Like when UCFers say the school is in Orlando.

Really?  We're pretty freaking close and I think the point is well taken.  If USF wants to be a big time program then build an IPF.

Correct it's a step in the right direction but people often try to pass off the IPF, OCS etc as some kind of silver bullet and that's just not true.  I'm not saying don't build it but let's not pretend it suddenly makes us a shoe-in or even more attractive to a P5 conference by itself.

I don't think anyone with a clue thinks that building an IPF or OCS automatically puts us in a P5

If somebody tells you *insert thing here* is the key to getting into the P5 and that thing isn't revenue brought to the new conference it's best to ignore them.  If adding another mouth to feed to a P5 doesn't add to each of the current member's bottom line then that potential team is a non-starter.

True, but if you want to be in a P5 conference then you better start acting like a P5 program.  An IPF is as good a place to start as anything.   Increase recruiting, increase visibility, increase competitiveness, and then we better see some increase in support both $$$$$ from boosters and butts in seats.

The only benefit I see is if it helps us get into the P5.

I don't think an IPF in and of itself is going to get us in a P5, but there are many positives to having one and many of these could lead to a P5 invite at some point.  It's like dressing for the job you want and not the one you have so to speak.

  11. IPF should be first.  We have a legitimate stadium to play in so that isn't the priority.  At this point an OCS is a luxury even though it may be beneficial in the long term.  Right now, an IPF is a no brainer.

The question may be, are the P5 schools P5 schools because they have an IPF or does the revenue from being in a P5 conference allow for an IPF?
