So does that mean we can't chant U-S-F, U-S-F?  Going to have to have more cheerleaders to hold up the S O U T H F L O R I D A cards instead of U S F.  This would add to our actual attendance if all the new cheer people scan their student cards when they come in.

Always USF USF because that is normally accompanied by crazies out fan frenzy.....

Coach speak or not the best quote in the article

"What people need to realize is that I'm not here to run out," Strong said. "People think I'm going to run out. Once people see I'm here to run this program, we can build on it. I want to be here. I really am happy to be here."

    GO BULLS!

Don't you just hope that CSS is the real deal? He's on the fast track to 60. He's enjoyed his greatest success as an asst. coach besides Louisville/Bridgewater U. Maybe he looks around after his Texas chainsaw massacre episode and thinks...you know this is a pretty great place to live. I (CSS) could take this university to the next level make them a champion build myself a legacy here at South Florida. Hey, CSS are you reading this??       Tampa Bay Area/ Florida has the talent that's been proven. USF needs coaching continuity, marketing, " big thinkers", no scandals. It can't be done half-ass, partway. The administration, alumni, students, community, business need to be all in. CSS, I for one am glad your at U of South Florida. Now go kick some ass.....Go Bull's!

I have seen this debate appear in multiple topics over the last couple of weeks since the new jerseys were released, but it looks like CCS wants to put an emphasis on being known as "South Florida" over USF.

    Full article here: http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/2018/08/12/usf-football-wants-success-with-no-mistaken-identity/

How many times have we been watching a game where the commentators refer to us as UCF? Too many times over the years. When we're playing them they sometimes get very screwed up. So, South Florida good idea. Only the folks who live in Florida know that we're only kinda-sorta in S.Florida. Northern folks think Florida is all the south so that works. Plus it coincides with a good cheer....SOUTH FLORIDA SOUTH FLORIDA GOOOOOO BULLS! ****, I shoulda been a cheer leader....

You're assuming the belly doesn't grow.

And that cousin ricky is exactly what happens. When I lived a more southerly life style I had several TBahama shirts that I sprung for them because (had more $pringing ability then) they were sweet and fit great. Now I have one left and yes it has lasted 20 years but the buttons tell the tale of body mass change. It does look good and adds some class to the closet though...my pecks slipped into my pooch who knew that was coming?

Tampa Stadium was built to attract an NFL team and it did. I'm just saying no Tampa Stadium, I'm not so sure USF has football ...

Tampa has always had a quirky fan base. It's been debated for decades. I go back to the season tickets John McKay days we had a ball even though we weren't winning. Rowdies would pack them in. Bandits even put a decent crowd in but, sad thing was...have the Bucs play Detroit, Minnesota, etc. All the transplanted snowbirds filled the stadium to watch "Their" team play. Go figure. Possibly it's something in the water???  It strikes me odd that folks(who enjoy competitive sports) residing in a community that has a winning, nationally recognized university don't come out and be a part of it. Here in Pensacola the University of West Florida is going into their third year of D2 football. were going to watch and cheer for the home team hell, it's football! And they play a good fun brand of football. The community is all over it and supportive. I imagine their facilities a stadium, etc will appear sooner rather than later. Of course, we will wear USF shirts to the games. Trolling.

As for fan base in Tampa? hard to say. Growing up in Sarasota we had a large population of fuss farts and wealthy whiners move in over the decades maybe it's just larger due to folks not being able to alter their early allegiance?? I take my hat off to the 25-30,000 of you that show up for home games on a regular basis. I'm sure many of us who live away from the Tampa area and only hit a couple away games and a home game per season...I(we) say thanks to all you locals that go physically to support our Team. And yes, sweat your butts off.

  6. This has probably been said...Now how cool is that? What a nice quality publication. That should perk up the folks who have been in the pre-season slumps.

Now if you tell me that this has been an on-going annual publication and this is the first one I received..I'm going to be pissed but for now, I'm flush with Bull Pride.

  7. Just ordered my annual Bull's shirts(say that fast) from the campus bookstore. Had an interesting conversation with a nice guy (poss mgr). He was telling me that a company by the name of Follett is assuming management. They will expand the Adidas line along with other things. They will make it more Alumni friendly( Alum Assoc discount) during the checkout process. So hopefully they will get more shirts, hats, etc. in as they are available. You local guys probably know about this change already. He wasn't aware of TBP. Might be nice to have them post interesting specials, new arrivals, etc as it might pertain to alumni if, that is allowable on this site? The only hiccup in this deal is, he is a UTEP grad however, we worked on the Go Bull's concept so I think he caught on. Texas has bulls so it should be a no brainer.

  8. Question?  Anyone have trouble with the Bull's Club site?  Ever since they "improved" it several years ago I have had on/off difficulty trying to figure out donations, annual dues, balances, items. I've paid dues in the past for the upcoming season only to find outstanding invoices later on for the same thing.Ticket mailing charges for tickets that never arrived that took 3 calls. Now duplicate receipts for the same thing but with different numbers for donation in March. I've contacted them in the past via phone but was less than impressed by the interest level on the other end. Here's the disclaimer: might be their site coupled with my techno limitations but, it wasn't that big of deal a few years ago it was easily navigated. Also, I'm not a chronic bitcher but I like to know what I'm paying for. Hey, if I'm alone on this issue then I will concede it is Me.  We like to be supportive and stay connected to USF  and give what we can but, the tougher they make it the more you want to say screw it. Went into the site to contact them and the only email was the Ticket Office however, it came back undeliverable? Thanks

This will go perfect with my van with no windows, aviator glasses and mustache. Maybe it’s not too late to make friends, you are a wealth of good ideas.

Ha!  You'll make friends alright following the playground scenario problem is...you'll make new friends in a holding cell.

You give me way too much credit, I am thirty seven. Do people really make new friends after 30? I feel life is settled and I am okay with that, where do grownups even go to make new friends?

37!!!! **** Son, I've got underwear older than you....!  Oddly, prob a USF tshirt that is close except I wax the vehicles with it now. Ok, 37 sheds a different light on things. Now I'm reading your posts and it brings my nephew to mind he's 35. Periodically, he turns to me for hard handed guidance and an electronic ass kicking when he gets all down and out. Plus he just finished his BA at USF..finally but, fantastic. I listen to him until I can't any longer, as he goes through a litany of his life hurdles. Hard to make friends, can't find a woman, job sucks...no job is good??  You 30's guys need to realize how great you have it you should be on an upward spiral not down. Oh yeah, sorry about the 50's thing must be your font looks older?? So now that I know your just a youngster...get out and support your Team/University while your limber and hopefully in good health.  Enjoy it kid!   Go Bull's!

Kind of late in life for that, the thought of making a new friend sounds exhausting.

pucmiester, I'm guessing your in your 50's? Man, a good decade for sure to enjoy. Not late in life yet. 60's-70's things start to wear out and break and after market parts need to be found and installed. Friends or at least ok, bearable acquaintances are out there. When we were young we weren't as discriminating so we hung with idiots that we called friends but they were fun. As we get older we try to avoid idiots and our tolerance level is much lower. Look how many up thoughts you received from your Fellow USF Folk during your time of BullsCrisis over the past two days. Ok, I'll leave you alone now.

    Like the Road Trek

Thanks CR. That's my 18 year old Bullsmobile. The back is like the front USF tag and Bull's logo tire cover. I think I'm trying to spread the Bull's aura up here in Alabama, FSU, Auburn, LSU country. It does provoke conversation. The van? My goal is to get it to 20 years an antique also, can then join Tin Can Tourists. It's something to do.

    I do like cookies.

Mr puc,. Thought I'd check back before lights out and make sure they talked you back in off the ledge. Good to see their using the old "cookie" approach. Tomorrow is a new day go forth a conquer. You stimulated a lot of thought and blood flow. I'll leave you with this..10-2 last year that's a successful season but, the disappointment realized was our 2 losses. We were supposed to be the team, undefeated, AAC champs, New Years game but, Not. Everyone feels the disappointments. We're a 20 year old program that has endured a lot of ups/downs, changes, scandal. That's a hell of a lot in a short time. But, we roll on. We hope for more. We keep supporting USF as we can in our own way. Maybe just maybe it will all come together at one time. I'd sure as hell walk around with pride in my USF T if we went undefeated or won the AAC along with kicking some p5 ass. I'm hopeful every year.

  14. Hopefully some of the neg content in here isn't read by future recruits or players prob be a real deal killer for them. Coaches too. Last season we got our died in the wool Ohio state grad neighbors to watch a Bulls game with us on tv. Yes, I had to lure them with some good brew and shrimp but...he started watching more of the Bulls after that and reading about them. So we have them over for the big USF vs UCF game Lordy, they were up and yelling throwing the Bulls sign doing cheers...he said it was prob the most exciting game he'd ever seen. And this guy was the head of high school athletics in Ohio so....moral to this story?  Lure them in, set the hook and enjoy the landing....

    Hell yes..Go Bull's!
