  1. Anyone been watching what coach Canada has done with Maryland amid all their turmoil? He was handed a flaming turd and he has made a difference.  It's amazing that they are 5-6 with all the bs that team went through it's admirable. Against Ohio State the 2pt conversion was questionable but he prob thought they had momentum on their side. If a team could have a good loss that might be theirs.

Re: US? don't know if another coaching change is good or horrible move. If, CCS stays he has a lot of work to do..and decisions he may not want to make. I think the AD needs to ascertain if he even wants to stay and make a commitment to USF beyond the $$millions. It's time someone takes USF and creates a champion. Our periodic rise and fall has happened way way too much over the years in Big East and now AAC.     Our time is way past due.

I don’t get it, I would rather have their stadium on our campus and upgrade it periodically until it’s at its desired amenitie and capacity level.

I want to take my kids on campus before the game and walk to the bookstore, the new Publix, show them the old bunker where I took my classes etc.

We will sit on our hinds idly until next round of realignment and if it does occur and we get left out we will have ourselves to blame. I am tired of Ray Jay, it’s feels like a cavernous corporate ******** where we have no home field advantages, I am tired of that big pirate ship that screams Buccaneers, it just doesn’t feel like a college environment.

I wish our AD was as proactive as UCF’s, I am tired of this close to the vest, wait and see, move at a cement turtle pace when it comes to sports facilities.

Gave you an atta-boy arrow because your frustrations have merit. I get it. Don't get so tired of the bs and unknowns that you give up. If USF is ever going to be a perennial winner/champ it will take every supporter/grad/fan to make it happen. If we take an attitude of--oh well what the hell my voice doesn't matter-- then it will never happen. Yep, OCS and top notch facilities are needed. Money seems to be prevalent for other things so... I've always believed if we could push past the "wine and cheese" crowd and get the powers to be to try mingling with the beer and hot dog, hoot and holler crowd things might change. Why UCF stadium doesn't  even compare to our OCS...…………………..ahhhh  "renderings"!      Keep the Faith

  3. UCF they have built their expansion invite creds way beyond any other AAC team. Hard to rap them for a good marketing campaign and quality play. I think they are happy with the blue collar/scrapper aura that seems to be their identity. Tough. The theme seems to permeate the school. They look like they're having fun.

Wonder what a football conference championship feels like???

As I've said before, Friday will be interesting. The excuse train has left the station...pre and post game.

  4. Well there you go some stimulation of topic instead of fire the coach, players, mascot, cheerleaders. Constructive( no pun intended) points of view pro-con and ah, pointless. My intent with all things considered as projected by replies, was to show the rapid growth of a young FBS program. Point about Tampa's pro teams..maybe that "should" stimulate more interest in USF not diminish it? As for fan base at UCF..Watch those fans on tv and most are really into it kinda nice to see. Yes, if they were 7-3 maybe it would be emptier?? Since 7-3 is considered a losing season by some...Note: I truly believe that we may just beat UCF. We may just play up to this team.   My opinion? ( I know I know) USF needs to create their own identity with a OCS and the Practice Facility --IF-- the administration wants to see it's team rise to national prominence..then, we will see if it helps propel us into the so-called p5. But, you gotta win a championship first. That seems to be something that we just cant do in any conference. We consistently only get to the top 3rd rung of that ladder never the top. IF, we had all the structural amenities & staff to build an annually great football team and still couldn't do it?? the problem is something else...maybe the lack of heart, hunger, desire, pride??

Ok, fire away I can take it...🤨

I am disgusted with a lot of USF fans where did this false sense of entitlement come from? Why would the Football Gods bless us? When we were 7-0 “fans” were already making posts that we will lose the last 4 of 5 games. We crap on our A.D, crap on our coaches, crap on our players, and pretty much crap of our team. Why would the Football Gods bless us with success? We are ungrateful, have a false sense of entitlement, and lack ANY kind of FAITH in this team. I don’t care what religion you are. You can be Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish Muslim, or even an atheist. In the end, the energy you put out in the world is ALWAYS going to be the energy you receive. Many of you spoke/typed the negativity into existence. We were undefeated and yet we still was pissed off. Grant it- many of us, including myself thought we would have more success and were wrong. Those things happen. But what will predicting losing the rest of the games for the season, crying for coaches to get fired and crapping on the players do? Rather than simply getting over it and still enjoying the season, you just pumped sooooo much negativity into the “spirit” of the rest of this season.  Regardless of wins/losses you should still love and support your team. This has to be hands down the most emotionally draining year as a USF football fan ever! How do you handle disappointment in real life? Do you give up when you don’t get that job after the interview or do you keep searching and find a better job? Did you give up when you got sick or did you fight the sickness? When your kids have bad days, do you tell them it will get better or do you tell them life sucks and don’t bother to have hope? Many of you who are crying about UCF’s success don’t realize that, they went 0-6, then 6-6 Scott Frost 1st season and then went 12-0. It didn’t happen overnight. The past 2 seasons we won at least 10 games and then lost the foundation of that team to graduation. We are starting over and already at 7 wins with 3 games left. Have some patience. I’m a Saints fan and our last Superbowl was 2011. Since then our coach was suspended for a year, a beloved player was murdered, we missed the playoffs a few times and had many heart breaking losses. This year, we have a chance to go back to the Superbowl. We just signed Dez Bryant and he suffered a season ended injury in his 1st practice. I still feel my Saints will win the Superbowl. But if they don’t win it, I will still love my team. Believe it or not, USF is NOT the only team underachieving or not winning conference titles.  Anyways in closing -

    1.       USF will get better. We have tons of talent that will grow bigger, stronger and are more seasoned.

    2.       CCS will be fine. I would love if Gilbert leaves and Shaun king becomes the offensive coordinator. If Gilbert stays then I hope the players learn to be successful in his system and keep it moving.

    3.       BJM had great success his first year here. He lost a ton of talent and needs time to rebuild the defense.

    4.       We have a great recruiting class, several transfers either playing for the first time or playing their 2nd year year. McDoom mutha*****, McDoom baby! He will be lights out next year in addition to Horne when he comes back from injury. We will have way more speed next year.

    5.       The undersized “youngins” on our team will have all summer to add bulk, add muscle, and will have physically grown by the start of next year.

    6.       As for this year, if we can finish out with 9-10 wins including a bowl victory I will be happy. If not, I hope the disappointing season provides enough motivation and determination to make the players step it up. Hell I hope it pisses them off.

    7.       I will still watch USF football this year, so that I can see which players will have a bigger impact next year. I will also simply enjoy whatever “highlights” our players produce and the journey to greatness since it will take longer than I expected.

P.S if you are going to “stop” buying season tickets, going to the games or watching USF football please keep it to yourself. It’s not a “man-law”, but it’s just not that “manly” to announce it.  What do you want us to do? Do you want us to beg you to change your mind? Do what you feel you have to do buddy we don’t care.

Good Job I'm awarding you the Big Ball's Bull award....Congrats!1875326869_brahman-cattleusf.jpg.34031a7658cdb918daa62e6c4cb8e134.jpg

Wilcox--now there's a kid you want to see do well. He's become quite the bad@@@ tight end.

They had a graphic up during the game that Chris O. only had 57 pass attempts in his High School career. Seems like a really low number. Not sure if that was a misprint or if I read that wrong..

I read the kids bio the other day because I didn't know much about him. I think he started playing late but went on to be very productive and then excelled in the summer 7on7 comps, etc..it looked like he was prob pretty good at a 3 star with about 4-5 offers. For getting thrown into the ring I thought he did pretty good. Not a Q but he is an O

  8. By Comparison--Interesting that stadium talk started about an OCS about a year ago or so( joined FBS in 2014 football since 2007). The city of Mobile and the College have now shifted to full speed to get this stadium built for their first game in 2020. Cost for 25,000 seat stadium will be around $74 mil. It's interesting to read about similar "young" programs and watch their progression. Their area is nuts about them even though they have intruded into rabid ALA AUB country. Mobile-Tampa, kinda sorta similar except the city of Mobile seems to be excited about USA's progression and, they weren't happy that it would mean that they wouldn't be using the City's public stadium any longer. Yes, it's not a giant stadium at 25k but, their fans, boosters, students and the community seem to be totally behind this project now.   I just find it interesting how universities seem to prioritize things like football of which, USA seems to play at a pretty good level. Food for thought.   disclaimer: I'm sure there is more politics and history/discussion re: their stadium that I don't know about but...it does provide a comparison.

  9. Doubt it's "firing" time. CCS has some season left it will be interesting to see how it works out. "IF" he wants to stay on as USF coach?? he will have some decisions to make regarding his asst coaches. As I watched the games this season you could see from the start that our inexperience was showing( both O and D) but we muddled through the first 7 games until we hit the brick competition wall. You watch teams dice and slice our D. Seems the past 3 games they have all used the same game plan our weaknesses are obvious. I was wondering early how Barnett would hold up but Temple beat him up. Needs fixing. Yep, our freshman will have a year under their belt and prob bulk up and be coached up in the off season. Might need some transfer help? After Houston I lowered my expectations about our season. The H and the T games were and should have been embarrassing. At Cincy- we looked better but then assumed the look of the 2 prior games. Cincy is much better & well coached. They show heart like ucf does. I was impressed with our qb O( I was nicknaming him Okie Dokie) in his first start I believe he has talent & possibilities. My wish?  See how the Temple game goes but be able to go in full power  and hungry against UCF snag a win, then go on to win our bowl game even if it's in the Toilet Bowl. Play with heart and some pride. End the season on a giant win and a final win.       Amen
