  1. We will win this game easy, but when we do not move up in the polls or SDSU passes us, this team cannot complain. All self-inflicted!
  2. Tice needs to be the featured back, with DJ as the change of pace and receiver out of the backfield.
  3. 1st quarter is exclusively reserved for special teams blunders and penalties (oh, and kick ass defense)!
  4. Maybe so, but it is the first half that the voters and recruits will be watching. By second half our audience will be asleep or watching the NFL.
  5. Question Mark needs to quickly distract us by changing the subject...Maybe write about Strong leaving after the season!!!! The poster may reach 100 down votes in one day!!!
  6. I hate to keep saying it, but style points matter! If you watched ESPN or some of the other networks, the only mentions that USF got were for their insane number of penalties. For those that say wins are all that matters, then you should not concern yourselves with the polls. However, with another G5 team nipping at our toes, it seems pretty clear that in the G5 world how you win is critical!
  7. I was at the first game! I want to build consistency at the top. If we win an AAC Championship and have a weak recruiting class, we will start the year out of the top 25. Last year and this year need to be building blocks to long-term success. In my opinion, winning a NY6 will do more for the program than an G5 Championship (a Big East Championship would have been different).
  8. I disagree. We are trying to build a perennial top 25 program. That happens by getting top 25 recruits. We lose a ton of players this year. Winning a NY6 bowl game on national TV will have a bigger impact on signing day than a G5 conference championship. Either way, we can't go NY6 without a conference championship.
  9. Um...of course! However, to this point, we have not played well enough to beat a top 25 team. The three teams we beat are very bad teams. I'm not sure, especially seeing how undisciplined we were with penalties, that we would automatically rise to the occasion if we played Memphis this Thursday. As a huge fan, I of course believe that they can be anybody. In actuality, there is still much work to be done before people outside of TBP believe in us and we are very lucky that our schedule will afford us many more tune-up games!
  10. Yes I feel better, but that was a very bad team we played. The good news is that most remaining teams on our schedule are not much better. I would still be freaking out if we were playing a top 25 team next week! While we are a top 25 team, I don't think we could beat one.
  11. 7 penalties, multiple blocked kicks, ejected player, turnover and two time-outs...still the first quarter!!!
  12. Started great, then went to terrible play calling. If you are going to be conservative and run on third down, at least get the ball in the middle of the field!
