Anyone know if the team buses are still going to drop off the players in lot 6 to march into the stadium?  Not sure if that was going to continue or if that was just a Taggart thing.

Doesn't sound like they'll be dropped off in the same spot anymore. Not Sure where exactly they mean, but it sounds like it'll be near the Tampa Bay Blvd/Himes intersection

"After USF continues the tradition of greeting fans in the parking lot during the Bulls Stampede to the stadium on Saturday, which is moving its start to the east side of the stadium near the corner of Tampa Bay Boulevard,"

Did Jordan Reed quit the team?  I don't remember hearing anything on him but he is not listed in the media guide.  Nobody listed with his number 82 either.  If so not a huge loss, Barr and Antoine were ahead of him already for the slot.  Phillips might have jumped during Spring too

    Yep. He gone

Reason is, running the table is not that easy. Sorry boys. The other teams and coaches aren't going to just roll over for us. FSU and Temple dominated us last year. And Navy and South Carolina gave us a scare too.

Houston has a stud QB. UCF may surprise us this year. We will know in a few weeks. We will have to win the conference championship game. We have a new coaching staff who failed at their last gig and we have no clue what the defense or the play calling will look like. The board here seems way over confident with all this talk of running the table. Just playing devils advocate. The team will need to be focused and execute.

Agreed, Houston scares me way more than most other people. They have the second best QB (the best pure passer) in the conference, and possibly the best D lineman in the entire country. Although, there is no way you can tell me Navy gave us a scare. If we didn't take the foot off the gas, the game ends in a 28+ point win. UCONN and SMU gave us more of a scare than Navy. Memphis gave us a legit scare (game could've basically gone either way/ we probably should've lost if Q didn't deliver the best single game performance of any player in program history). I also think if Willie was still coaching the Bowl game, that second half goes differently. I see us losing one game we undoubtedly shouldn't lose (Temple, Cincy, UCF, Tulsa), think we'll only be 4-7 pt favorites vs Houston (which should be our lowest favored margin of the regular season, although @ UCF might be about the same) at home making us 10-2 or 11-1 heading into the conf champ game against Houston or Memphis, making us a 4-7 pt favorite again. Take that game and we're headed to Hotlanta, assuming someone like Boise or WKU don't do get crazy and run the table themselves.

Went to the gym the morning to do a light workout (which is all I do BTW) and saw a kid out on the basketball court. Thought of going over to shoot with him but decided to hit the weights inside.  Came out and the kid was still out there so I walked over. I said Hi and thought I'd shoot some up with him. Well, he didn't miss. Shot after shot after shot after shot. EVERYTHING was going in from out near the 3 point line.  Then he did a couple of quick cross over moves took a step toward the basket and floated one up one handed.  I said "that looks like Anthony Collins". He did a double take looking at me. So I asked "Are you AC?" and sure enough it was.  So I played ball boy for him for about 1/2 hour and chatted about USF and the tournament team. Said that he's staying with a friend in our neighborhood.  He mentioned that Victor Rudd would be playing for the guys they play next.  1/2 hour was about all my bald head could take so I left and wished him well.

That's pretty cool. What gym if you don't mind me asking?

They've supposedly been grooming Riley for over a year. It can't be that nefarious if he's been allowed to stay for that long ..... you wouldn't think, anyway.

He was never offered the USF job. He was thought of as a possible Willie replacement last year. Nothing more than that.

So I know nothing about college golf.  How does a #1-in-the-world golfer come to USF (or any college) and be coached by someone other than who has coached him up to this point?

In my mind, I imagine for bigger sports like baseball, basketball, and football that universities have the equipment/facilities/coaches who are truly a higher level than the little league/AAU resources.  But for golf, I wonder how much they really can improve a guy like this.  I know he said that he believes his future involves college golf before turning pro, but why?  Does someone from USF start working with him on his swing like they work on a quarterback throwing motion, or does the golfer keep that relationship with his current coach?

Also, there's probably a good chance he won't be here more than a year or two before he decides he's ready to turn pro. Kid is the real deal.

A college golf coach is essentially a recruiter and team manager. They don't really do much when it comes to a players actual game/swing.

Also, back to Bench, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he didn't try to break into a Car Wash. The address for the car wash just the location where he was caught and arrested. I don't know him well, but I see him out from time to time and know a few people who are acquaintances with him, and I would assume that this situation didn't occur like a lot of people in here would like to think. He's a 24 year old who likes to have fun and drink like pretty much any other 24 year old. Considering the location (right down the street from about 10 bars on Howard Ave) it's much more likely it was a stupid drunken situation.

I guess I didn't read the part where it says he actually broke into the car wash, so my fault for that. I still would think it's much more likely that he was stumbled down Howard drunk as **** and was an idiot who thought it would be funny to break into the car wash and not a situation where he actually sat down and decided he was gonna break into a car wash to steal some money.

Just read an article online re: Tiger Woods' arrest and he couldn't recite the national anthem backwards.  There is no way I could do that right now and there is no bourbon in my system - yet.  Are they trying to get you to say "I couldn't do that even if I was sober."?

They asked him to recite the alphabet backwards and they then asked him, "Do you understand what we're asking you to do?" and he responded "yeah, you want me to recite the national anthem backwards". They didn't actually want him to do that. Don't really think he even knew what planet he was on because he always told the cops he was driving home from California and asked them how far away from his house he currently was...

I'd imagine they were the best available team that was willing to do a home and away. From what I understand, the week 0 rationale is that we will be one of the only games on that week so it gives us national exposure from football-starved fans.

Haha except for the fact that they put it on CBSSN.  No football fan outside of tampa will give a **** about this game or even know it's on for that matter.

I say, leave him. Didn't want to be a Bull then well maybe he shouldn't get to be a Bull now. Wasn't the right fit for him then why would it be the right fit now? And screw second chances, its a game. You don't get second chances in football. Find some other college that has lower standards and will accept second chances. I wonder if Notre Dame accepts second chances? Or Miami for that matter....or Ohio State or Michigan or UCLA or.....

except for the fact that we're not Notre Dame...or Michigan....or UCLA....or even Miami...
