Say we lose to Houston and beat UCF and Memphis. Is there anyone behind us that would challenge us for the NY6 bowl? Or is it presumable we would be the highest ranked Group of 5 team.

Yes, there's only two other G5 teams who only have one overall loss at the moment. Toledo and Marshall. I just don't see any scenario where they would get the nod over us. As bad as our schedule is this year, it is still no where near as bad as the average MAC or CUSA slate. Neither has a win vs a p5 team, and if you look at common opponents, Marshall only beat Cincy by 17 and Toledo only beat Tulsa by 3 at home. I'd venture to say we'll be able to manhandle Tulsa at home.

Houston will be better than Tulane. Houston has a solid win over Arizona, played Memphis very tough, but also had some strange loss to Tulsa...

Uconn is in the cold and that team carries around some kind of USF kryptonite.

I'm not saying there's no way we could lose either of those games, we definitely could. But "toss up" generally refers to a game where there's about a 50% chance either team could win. Our probability of winning both of these games is significantly higher than 50%. This week alone we are -11 and -450 on the moneyline and Houston is +350. Implying the real number is -400, hence giving us an 80% chance. We also will be more than -11 at UConn.

Yep.  I felt really bad for Tulane yesterday morning.  We were on campus and talked to a couple students who had no idea there was a game that night.  I think Bulls fans outnumbered Wave fans in the seats.  With our corner and those that got tickets on the visitor side 50 yardline section, I'd guess there were over 3,000 of us.  The Tulane home side was EMPTY, maybe 10% of the seats had people in them.  Either no one goes to their games or the Glazer Club is REALLY nice to hang out in.  Had to be maybe 1,000 students there at the beginning of the 2nd quarter and most of them bailed at half time.  Nice to know it's not just us.  Did you see the Miami stands yesterday?

Best part about the Miami game is that they announced 56,198....for a stadium that only holds 64,000. There were easily 20-25k empty seats there.

This is the scariest thing about the offense moving forward, both this season and next.

Before the season I anticipated a drop in carries for Quinton by about 5 a game. Both from a slightly more pro style spread, and from blowing teams out and not needing Q for at least 1/4 of every game.

I am worried what the miles will do for Q for the rest of this season, our schedule has been whack with the hurricanes so hopefully he won't be too worn down for the games that on paper will be more competitive.

I am also worried what it means for the O next season. Obviously it will be pretty hectic with basically new starters at all the skill positions, but I don't see Kean or Dunkin(TM) being the type of QB's who can lead the team in carries and the O be a success.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gilbert is gone next year. He hasn't stayed with the same team for more than one year since 2013.

Will he try to play an additional year at another school?

Could help his draft stock as it did for Russell Wilson, who I think Flowers greatly resembles.

And how would you feel is he went to UF ?

    Go BULLS !!!

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. If not, quite possibly the dumbest post that's ever been on this forum.

Kean is a solid backup imo.  I haven't seen enough of Chris O.  I liked the way he scrambled last night and he throws a nice ball but it's tough knowing if we caught lightning in a bottle twice or what until he sees some meaningful game time.

I will say that with the passion that Sands plays with and what I've gleaned from Chris O, I am kind of excited.

best part about how Sands has looked is the fact that he won't even be the best running back on the roster next year

Not real sure he sticks or not. Played a good amount in the first half of their last preseason game but I'm not sure if that's good or bad news. Near the end of the half he ran a kickoff out from almost the back of the end zone, getting only to the 10 yd line .... which led to a safety. Don;t think he played at all in the second half, save one punt return. Sounded like from the Viking announcers, he's on the bubble ...

He's most likely gonna make the team right now due to Michael Floyd being suspended for the first four weeks but it's going to be down to him or Coley (the other rookie from Miami) for the last spot when Floyd comes back week 5. One of them is gonna be released for Floyd to be activated.

Interesting comment by Q, said we're trying to give the ball back to the ref in the middle of the field, so they can get the next play off quicker. Not something I would have thought of - will watch for this tomorrow to see how they do.

Pretty sure they said if they hand it to the linesman instead of the ref in the middle, they have to run a gasser at practice the next week.

So I linked the stadium map above. They are coming out through the tunnel next to the visiting fans? Makes no sense to me.

If that article on gousfbulls.com is correct, than yes. Makes zero sense to me as well.

"Instead of running out the tunnel through Gate D like in the past, the Bulls will now make a longer walk to Gate C while fans get to watch their whole pregame journey to the field on Ray Jay's massive video boards"
