More worried about the offensive line than anything right now, even the quarterbacks. Hopefully the guys we have are able to stay healthy this year.
-
I watched our offense. Giving up 18 more points was a hell of a lot more likely than scoring 18.
Can't argue that
-
In 2013 we let up 343 points and scored 165. Which puts the average game as a 29 - 14 point loss, including 4 losses by 20+ points. (AKA losing by 15 PPG)
In 2014 we let up 313 points and scored 206. Which puts the average game as a 26 - 17 point loss, including 2 losses by 20+ points. (AKA losing by 9 PPG)
We still sucked but its silly to say we didn't improve. The average game was a lot closer. Hopefully with a lot more of Taggart's guys seeing the field and switching to the spread we can see a huge improvement this year.
-
So we were 6 field goals away from a winless season?
We lost to Maryland and ECU by a combined 18 points so you could say we were basically 6 field goals away from 6-6 too.
-
At least its nice to see the staff recognizing these guys so early in the process, oh well.
-
Seems nice and physical based off that video, hopefully he can knock some UCF receivers on their asses ASAP.

Bulls to watch during spring, last one could be interesting. A freshman walk on wide receiver.
-
Only losses to FSU and Navy. 10-2 including a 31-3 win against UCF. Beat the Gators in a mid level bowl game.
More likely is a 6-6 or 7-5 type season but a man can dream.

If Perry can get healthy a Perry+Guerrero frontcourt would be nice for the next 2 seasons.

Look at that forest I'd have to walk to just to get to my seats!
They could clear most of that forest but leave some of the tree's to give it a feeling of tailgating like the grove at Ole Miss.
This would just add to the tailgating and gameday experience bringing more fans to the game. A lot of students enjoy tailgaiting more than the game itself anyway so this could just peak student interest to the point where we are filling the seats and people are excited for game days again.

There is a lot of undeveloped land around MOSI, including the lot directly to the west. I don't know who owns it, but it certainly looks big enough for a stadium.
That area I circled in red is less than 2 miles away from greek village and the dorms. And just about 2 miles away from most the apartments around 42nd street. Plus there would be room for parking lots right next to the stadium there.
-
Heard someone mention somewhere (wanna say it was the Collin guy at Voodoofive) about USF just made some deal with MOSI just a week or two a go and that could be a possible location for a stadium? I think that makes more sense than the University mall location, there's already that walkway that crosses Fowler right there too plus plenty of land for parking where they have that renaissance fair.

Compared to all our AAC peers we had the top ranked class in 2013 as well (http://247sports.com/Season/2013-Football/CompositeTeamRankings?Conference=AAC) and in 2012 we were 2nd compared to these current members (http://247sports.com/Season/2012-Football/CompositeTeamRankings?Conference=AAC).
So talent wise, there's really no excuse not to win this year. In 2010 and 2011 it wasn't quite as good (worse than UCF both years), but we can only recruit so long compared to the rest of the conference before top recruiting classes cant be sold as hope anymore. What we need is to develop these players (importantly a quarterback) and win some games.
-
If we don't win at least 6 games this year Willie's gone and he knows this from what I hear, hopefully this team plays with some intensity that has been absent the past 4 years.
-
Luckily UCF's team isnt too great this year either.
-
I'll take it, need any reasons for optimism I can get
-
Its not likely, but if it were to happen I could see us having a 10 win season. FSU is by far the best team we'll play so if we can beat them in their house we should have a chance at anyone.
Based off the 2 seasons though with us struggling and them not losing a single regular season game I have no reason to believe it will happen.
-
From what I've heard about Litton's attitude and overall personality off the field I don't feel like we missed out at all, and this isn't even taking into account the arrest and academic issues. Based off his offer list doesn't seem like we'd be getting anyone better than White anyway.
-
A bunch of athletes using the spread should mean the offensive production will improve almost immediately right? From what I've seen online the spread makes it a lot easier on inexperienced quarterbacks, was wondering what to expect next year. Wouldn't this help Flowers tremendously?

Director of player personnel Paul Gonnella is leaving USF according to @JJohnstonTBO:
says #USF FB director of player personnel Paul Gonnella leaving to start recruiting site called "The Process.''
Is this a big deal? -
Please let me know what Armwood kids besides McQuay and maybe Matt Jones who have lived up to their 'star ranking'?
Erik Striker was a 3rd team all american at linebacker for the Sooners last season and is 2 time all Big 12.

This was a pretty weak QB class in FL. Next year should be stronger and with the way the eligibility of our QB's it will be an easier sell with us just bringing one kid in this class. I'm not in favor of just adding a body to just add a body especially when we have a verbal at QB already for next year.
This. Didn't look like the in-state choices were that great, and once you take out the best and send them to P5, you're left with the majority middle which is what we already have behind center. And no one said CWT didn't try for the "best", we just didn't get one.
If I were coach for a day, I think I'd petition admin for $$ to get a special uber-camp for our qb's. Any help to get our meager stable stronger and more consistent...and I'd also get MW into a psych camp, to improve his mind game.
I think we could have gotten an overlooked prospect in Kean. Played for the top program in Ohio. Holds their record for most TD passes in a game, season and career. Might not have generated much interest nationally due to his size but he did have plenty of MAC offers. Some great college QBs come out of that region.
Do you think Kean will be able to play at all this next season? This teams desperate for some wins and consistency.

Chris Oladokun is going to blow up, just wait on it. If we keep him, he's a hell of a QB.
Oh from what I've heard about him he seems like the kind of talent that could start his first year as long as he has enough time to learn the playbook and gel with the offense. I think we keep him because he seems pretty excited to be a future Bull (check his twitter from the last week around signing day) but if he ends up blowing up to like a 4 star and bigger programs come calling they could probably tempt him for sure.

Some of the people reporting the McCloud stuff were legit, reputable folks. Newberg has repeatedly said "he isn't going to USF" until last night when he caved and said he had heard it from enough reputable sources that there was a legit shot. I was still pretty skeptical, and also think we'll never know what was really going on behind the scenes, but where there's smoke there's fire.
My thoughts are Dad wanted him at Clemson while McCloud was really intrigued by playing with his family and friends at USF. In the end, "father knows best".....
If thats the case that seems like a situation where a transfer down the line wouldn't be out of the question if certain things didn't go right at Clemson.

Apparently Fullwood is looking like a starter, he seems really athletic and he's only a true sophomore. Hopefully he can be a playmaker this year
