$3.35 an hr is magical? Maaaan, to this day, I can't believe I gave up an hour of my life for $4.25 in my past. Especially after seeing how the standard of living went up by like 30 times while the minimum wage stayed the same since the early 80's.

Well he is going back to Auburn. Last year he had surgery in the offseason which to me held him back. This time he has a full offseason. He should have a better year.

I love the aggressive scheduling philosophy we have had since MK took over! How jacked up were we all when we entered the half tied with Bama and took a 1-score game into the 4th quarter against Nick Saban? That game got mentioned pretty frequently during Bama's playoff discussions. I remember rushing the field when we upset a ranked Bowling Green team coached by some guy named Urban Meyer. We were deemed "coach killers" when we beat Bowden at FSU and Randy Shannon at UM and they got fired soon after, among others. We can't beat Miami, FSU, & UF unless we play them. We can't get street cred playing Middle Tennesee State (no offense to the Blue Raiders, who have been fun to play in the past). The last time we played UF we had one heck of a great tailgate and Gator fans know they were really lucky to get away with a W that game. Fans come out for those games. WE love coming out for those games. TAMPA loves coming out for games against big competition.

Our goals are lofty; we won't get there by getting into the playoffs with a cupcake schedule. We want to cut our teeth in solid competition earlier in the season - not get exposed after making it to the playoffs by playing subpar competition. Maybe we don't need to play Bama every year. But I would argue that picking off teams from the SEC and the B1G would be ideal. All those alumni from the midwest love a trip to Tampa, and shoot, tons of their alumni have retired here and come out for their games. We shouldn't be shooting low, we should be punching upwards!

I wasnt referring to you. I just dont understand the level of disdain some have for Taggart.

Too much bitterness on this board. I'm grateful for Taggart's time here in the PAST and ready for a few more quality transfers for the 2024 season. I'm hopeing they rrach put to Gentle Hunt from FAMU.

I don't know if I buy the "Tulane taking a step back" theory next year.  Unless maybe we play them really early.

They lost their QB1, QB 2, coach and a good 10 transfers total with 7 being highly rated players transferring out. I refuse to believe they will be just as good as the previous years

It baffles me how so many people weren't impressed by BB's stats in High School.  So many fans were so drained from CCS and CJS that they couldn't get excited for anything. So many were oblivious to  BB's potential. By 2025 and possibly 2026, I hope to see his stats from his Senior year in a Bulls Jersey! That would be a guaranteed AAC title, and playoff run. 

• BB's senior year of high school - 4990 total yards, 64 tds & 4 ints
• BB's first year as a starter - 4101 total yards, 37 tds & 11 ints

My positive spin on this. 

 

If we can make the playoffs or at least are in contention every year, then he stays possibly to 2026 in a quest to be the first G6 team to win a playoff game or title.

Marcellus Tate is an early enrollee and has already practiced with the team. 

I'm going to enjoy this championship game b/c I have no emotional ties to either team. I just rooting for a good game.

In the end, you can't expect good talent to sit stagnant anymore. Only 5% of CFB players make it to the NFL so these players only have 4-5 years of organized football left in their life. Eventually, the transfer portal will figure itself and the talent will get better distributed. Those coaching staffs that emphasize a positive culture and developing relationships with EVERYBODy on the team will have the most success. This will raise the standards for coaches as well. 

I guess Marcellis Tate is the next man up after Archie.

Our secondary was our weakest position and barely anybody has transferred out. I'm not a big fan of Braxton Clark or Matthew Hill.

Fixed it and thanks. I forgot about the TE position altogether. I have no idea who is starting. I feel they need to start over and make these players earn their starting spots. Everybody but Atkins should have to start over.

Gonnela can ball as well. But I'm not arguing, hell I would love for Battie to come back.
