THERE'S ALWAYS A CHANCE!! Even if it's only 10%USF Basketball has jaded me so much over the last few years, I turned it off at the half down by 20. I'm kicking myself for not sticking with it.

Has there ever been a more obvious example of the difference in approach of two programs in pursuit of athletic success? USF won’t re-sign a star player out of the portal because he left the program while Oviedo CC signs a star player out of the portal with multiple felony charges . . .
Mikey Williams arrives in Orlando to take in BYU-UCF game
WWW.ORLANDOSENTINEL.COM
Prep phenom Mikey Williams is already on campus, taking in the Saturday’s game vs. No. 18 BYU at Addition Financial Arena.yeah and if he gets them to the NCAA tournament, I'm sure it would be turned into a feel good story, they took a chance on him, he's trying to turn his life around narrative. Unless it goes horribly wrong, at the end of the day, the only thing people will care about is success.

No matter the agent, if he continues to have success, there will be better opportunities available. It just depends on if he wants to finish what he's building here or move on to greener pastures. I'm hoping he wants to at least win a conference championship before he leaves.

Coach has his reasons, but don't understand all the "he quit on the team" comments. A football scholarship is a 1 year deal. Nothing is guaranteed. The coach decides to extend each year. Unlike Weaver, Battie played out the season before transferring. I can't fault him for going somewhere else for the money.

5 on Tulane is a beast
Too bad Tulane is so injured at QB otherwise its game over for VT
VT uniforms are terrible, probably 2nd worst in CFB
On paper, the matchup looked entertaining and then the Tulane starting QB and 3 starting receivers weren't playing. With the transfer portal, bowl season is a joke.

Exactly, up north you can dig a bowl and get support. No such luck in Florida.
We're missing an opportunity. Dig a bowl and then we could flood it like the colosseum for the sailing and swim team.

I never noticed this weird tarp on the ground. Are we painting this set? Taking off the popcorn ceiling?
They were painters by trade, one day they showed up to paint a music studio and the rest is history....

At the firm I work at, that wouldn't have been allowed out the door, although it's a walkway with an arch...kind of difficult to dress that up anymore. Probably threw something together quickly to get an image out for the BOT meeting.

If you look at the first image of snapdragon stadium, those are reinforced concrete pieces supported by those large steel columns. Just because you can see exposed steel doesn't mean it is supporting metal bleachers in the USF rendering.

Seems like a lot of posters on this website are spending 10-15-20 minutes writing posts bashing the renderings instead of the 30-40 minutes it would take to listen to the BOT meeting, where much of which was discussed and is contradictory to assumptions made from the renderings.

247 has him rated at 87, which is technically higher than the composite score for him at 86.97
Yeah, I read the original tweet that said he was a 4 star thinking it was 247 saying it. My bad....

Looking at the renderings again, it could be the home and away sides that are reinforced concrete and the end zones are steel supported bleachers which could then be removed and replaced when capacity is increased. The added capacity would be end zone seating and the seating similar to what's above the tunnels on each side of the end zones at RayJay. If the two end zones were originally concrete, it would be much more expensive to replace / upgrade when they increase capacity. Just a guess, like everyone else on here....

So, he added a bunch of garbage and peaced out. cool.
I think everyone in the AAC is trying to get out of the AAC...not many besides lower conferences who want to climb aboard the titanic....

I can't help it!
Picking your brain for a moment...who's replacing Sean Atkin's catches next season? We've seen flashes from some of the other receivers but no consistency. Unless we get some real stud recruits, I don't see any freshmen coming in and making an immediate impact.

With our recruiting class and transfers, I expect 10 wins next year!
Baby steps, let's get a win in the Spring Game first and then go from there.....

of course 247 listing him as a 3 star instead of 4 star on our list of commits....

It's fine but... we need to fill that gap presumably with better talent. All eyes will be on whether we can actually bring in the talent we need to compete.
Who are the experienced talented DBs we have coming into 2024?
Been quiet on that front
When he was hired, I remember Golesh complaining that the ratio of db's / safeties on the team was ridiculously out of proportion than a normal team would have. I think we'll need another season of graduations / transfers to purge out more room for replacements. Not saying he can't get good guys as replacements this off-season, just mean that he won't have a full complement of quality starters and backups going into next season.

There you have it, folks. Right there in the bible. Everything bad that's happened to us: 2007 ending in futility, Leavitt fired, relegated to AAC, never winning a conference championship, Skip Holtz, Charlie Strong, Jeff Scott, UCF to B12, left behind multiple times in realignment, etc. All of it. We danced and worshipped the golden calf (brahman) and now we've been cursed for it.
Maybe if we make a blood sacrifice of the opposing team's mascot at the 50 yard line to open the new OCS all will be forgotten.

Can you imagine if it ends up being metal bleachers, the exact thing we chastised the clown college to the east about? I guess all the talk about waiting to do stuff the right way goes out the window....

I think the biggest difference in your example is Gonzaga's non-conference schedule (SOS 64) is a lot better than USF's (SOS 168). Them losing 4 out of conference games doesn't look as bad as our 4 out of conference losses.
