Is he claiming he is a former bull or buffalo?
He played 4 seasons here and 1 in Colorado as a grad student, does it really matter?

I think Dave was the first person to mention how good he is. And I think he will make fans forget CY. Williams' ability to score in the paint exceeds CYs.
I disagree about forgetting about CY. He is a special player and will be difficult to replace, but I hope you're right about Williams. The only highlights I've seen are against Juco teams.

Yeah, with the amount of money available to him and now doubled, he was never coming here.

• Revenue distribution: The Big Ten and SEC each earn 29% of the $1.3 billion; the ACC gets 17.1% while the Big 12 receives 14.7%; the remaining amount will be distributed to Notre Dame (about 1%) and the 64 Group of Five teams (about 9%).
9% to the 64 Group of Five teams. Wow, sounds fair to me.... I guess they think fans from teams left out of the playoff system and revenue sharing will still watch the playoffs?

The lack of speed and intensity in that game - in that empty gym - doesn't show much.
Yeah, I wasn't impressed if that was the constant level of competition.

It's been 10 days since Karter decommitted from UK. I wonder why there wasn't quick news about him committing to Calipari at Arkansas. If he was committed to Coach Calipari as his coach, why the need for any delay? Perhaps he wasn't committed to Cal at all but instead was committed to Cal at UK but is now open to going elsewhere because the coach left that particular program. Clearly he wasn't planning on following Coach Calipari wherever he went or else I'd think he'd immediately announce his commitment to Arkansas. Interesting.
P.S. Not suggesting he has any interest in coming to USF, only pointing out Karter's actions/ behaviors/ lack there of.Probably just holding out for the best $$$$ opportunity. Maybe in the middle of a bidding war....

I could not find any highlights. Do you have any to share? The stat that I find impressive is his 2FG% which was 61% on 363 attempts. For a guard that is very impressive.
Here is a game on youtube....He's number 3, white jerseys

Professional athletes on ncaa scholarships. They are making it easier for them to get more nil money so the ncaa and universities don't have to share their profits.
Kind of reminds me how tipping culture evolved. Restaurants not wanting to pay regular wage so it's passed on to the customer to supplement the employees salary. NCAA and universities never wanted to share the profits so NIL was created to take more money from fans and donors to pay the athletes so the NCAA and universities don't have to.

Hopefully our offensive line can keep him upright. We've tried this experiment before.....

Come to think of it, my academic scholarship at USF was year to year. It wasn't guaranteed four years.
I had no idea until now, I was getting ripped off by having to live up to my end of the deal.
But unlike athletics, as long as you kept your GPA above a certain level, you kept your scholarship. With Athletics, if there is a better player out there that they want, technically they don't have to renew a current player's scholarship.

The real world hits!
I have never remarked negatively to a player, but now they're out there with the rest of us/others getting blasted on silly social media. LOL
They are probably used to it, but it's classless as fans to harass players who decide to leave. I think some feel just because they are a fan, buy a ticket or attended the same school that they are owed some kind of loyalty by these players.

Can we ban the phrase "can't blame him for.../ can't blame the players for..." from TBP? It's beginning to be overused. If this is a business, then we can stop looking at these players like kids who have a genuine desire to play college ball while getting a free education for the team that put a lot of time, resources, and efforts into bringing them to USF. They have no loyalty to our program/ school. Players today are loyal to the dollar and that's it. So when I'm looking for someone to blame, I'm going to blame the athlete who chooses to leave USF to get money and attention for himself. That's what I'm going to do, don't fault me for having my own opinion, everyone else on here can do as they please. I won't criticize you for it, I'm only critical of the overused phrasing lol.
Huh? Why would you blame a player who transferred here, helped turn the program around and won a conference championship?? USF got as much out of these kids as they got from USF. Unless you are volunteering to help them financially later in life, post-playing career, can't make any comments on their decision to provide for themselves and family.

Ok what in the world did I just watch??
This is cool and all but for a coach to straight up speak to what felt like some of us (including myself) directly is blowing my mind.
Makes me ask so many questions, are the players transferring being harassed? Is the coach being bugged day in and day out if the sky is falling? Is CAAR just that self aware of the concern bulls nation has as to the players transferring?
I'm still processing how I feel about all this but it sure impresses me. I don't recall a time that we've had a coach directly address our (my) concerns and speak so directly about the elephant in the room. This is real good ****.
Coach CAAR is certainly a true leader and takes the BULL by the Horns!
In every fanbase, there are good fans and bad fans. USF has it's share of both. I'm sure the transferring players are getting negative comments on their social media. None of them really owed us anything or deserve anything negative. They gave us a conference championship in a season where we were picked to be irrelevant. I'm now considering basketball season tickets over football.

You will be wrong.
I see a lot of question marks with the new roster. We can hope for the best, but I don't see a freshman coming in and immediately picking up where Youngblood or Miguel left off. Yes, they might be talented, but they will need time and conditioning to get close to where we were this season.

This is a good post. Coach wouldn’t just let them leave without a conversation. It is his ass in a sling I’m sure he wants to protect it too.
and one of his job's is to prepare them for the next level. I really don't see coach holding a player back or trying to talk him out of a better opportunity.

Porta pottys are definitely cheaper because those restrooms would get trashed after every game. Think about drunk opposing fan behavior....no one should have to clean that up...

I thought Dwayne Boyles was done after last year? He played for another college last year or did he sign with some nfl practice team/minor league football deal? Do you think Prime would allow Weaver and Horne to claim usf over prime university?
It wasn't about claiming USF over their current team. The original statement was about how bad the recruiting and player development was under CCS and CJS. He just gave examples of talent from those recruiting classes that will get drafted.

For all the reasons given above, we should never be enabling this kind of behavior with FAU. Don't give the game a name, don't circle it on the calendar, don't engage more than normal with their fans, etc. etc.
GO BULLS!
I think in a rivalry, both teams have to put up a fight....If we go back to dominating them yearly, the rivalry thing will go away.
