  1. They're apparently too stupid to grasp that ... Well they are ucf fans. Blanket statements always make me mad, they also make you look stupid. You mean blanket statements like this: YUP, no rivalry here ...well at least not on Bulls part... I would hope you're better than this and simply upset at the given situation. That said, I was in no way protecting certain UCF posters. I was simply saying an extremely small sample size is not typically representative of a population (no matter how many "bad" ucfers you claim to know, it is a very small sample size relative to the population). It tends to invalidate results. It would be similar to me judging all USF fans based on ShadowBulls relative lack of intelligence. Not fair to you guys, right? My point was that it was a blanket statement from a UCFer that started this. Blanket statements are usually part of stuff like this ... Are you new to message boards? New to the juvenile nature of this rivalry I guess. Carry on.

  3. They're apparently too stupid to grasp that ... Well they are ucf fans. It's a **** shame I turned my UCF education into a fully funded research opportunity at a top doctoral program in the country then. Blanket statements always make me mad, they also make you look stupid. Hope for a good game next year. Enjoy the offseason.
  4. So what you're saying is....we beat 66% of the teams in the American who actually *have* a winning record. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. I think pollsters realize that anything can happen in a rivalry game no matter the respective teams records and standings. Despite what some posters on each side like to think, this is a rivalry through and through. I look forward to continuing it in the future....it's always more fun when you have someone you can really "hate" and argue fruitlessly back and forth with for ages, upon ages, upon ages.....
  6. To the OP: Maybe I'm soft, but I can't wait till this game is played with big implications for both sides! Good luck to you as well and thank you! In response to "great season." Yea.......

  8. Too many positive/not negative experiences in this thread. Quickly, someone delete it before it does something to dissuade (some) USF fans that we UCFers are not actually the collective scum of the earth.
  9. That's cute. And that was your hometown guy writing that drivel. Just sayin And yes I know he's a hater, but it was still allowed to be published. The slantinel nickname is well deserved, unfortunately.
  10. I think a half dozen of us (at least) signed up in response to ShadowBull making consistently inane, nonsensical postings. That said, I do agree with you, outside of maybe the freshman/sophomores who are relatively new the majority of us UCF fans care a great deal. I'd add that I think many UCF fans talk that way because there IS some fear that we will manage to lose this game. I disagree with the other UCF fan that says the BCS implications will supersede the rivalry nature of the game. I grew up an Iowa Hawkeye fan and in the past decade the Hawkeyes have lost far too many times to a vastly inferior Iowa State team. In 2004 (iirc) it would end up being their only loss, locking them out of a chance at the national title and relegating them to a #4 national ranking entering their bowl. There is always a chance for crazy things to happen in games like this and while I am confident in UCF, I still have my worries and I am unwilling to proclaim a massive beat down (however much I hope it occurs!) as a sure thing.
  11. So instead you make a snarky remark about not making a comment about academic status? I don't deny that the remark was snarky, that was the the point. However, instead of insulting his academic status, I more indirectly implied that perhaps he should read more carefully before responding.
  12. Yeah, Clemson is clearly a worse team than Memphis. And Miami, they are horrible. FSU squeaked by both of them, clearly UCF and FSU are very similar. By the way, I have a bridge for sale that you might be interested in. My first instinct is to go with some snarky remark about your academic status, because clearly you lack reading comprehension, but I will refrain. I never said either of those things, I indicated that UCF was not on FSUs level, I simply said their *STYLES* of offense are similar with the main difference being the caliber of athletes present at FSU. That said, Miami is horrible and we all knew that game would be a blow out....so did Vegas unless you missed the 21+ point line that FSU handily covered. On the other hand, Clemson took themselves out of the game early and could not recover, none of us expected the game to go that way. FSUs only real test this season will come in the title game assuming we make it there, that is how far above their mediocre competition they are. It is hard to take much from a 56 - 3 beat down of Syracuse other than the fact that they don't belong on the same field.
  13. I seem to recall Saban calling out the students for leaving during a blowout this season. Anyway I was being somewhat facetious. Constant blowouts aren't exciting, but I would obviously rather UCF not put up those stinker games against teams we should handle.
