  1. Agree. Another thing to consider is the fact that several freshman have really outshined some of the upperclassmen. The freshmen were recruited by Taggart. I really think he is going to build something special, but there is only so much he can do with what he has right now. You can't polish a turd.
  2. I think one of the best examples of the problems with Skip's staff was when he decided to go golfing instead of recruiting at the Florida high school QB camp that was hosted on our campus. That was a perfect opportunity to network and recruit. Now we have no QB. I wonder why...
  3. Didn't play McNeese State while he was here. But he did lose to Ball State, Temple, Syracuse (twice) and UConn (twice), among others. I understand that this is a university and these are student athletes. And the grades are important. But that is what teachers and administrators are paid to do. Skip was paid to win football games.
  4. Get over yourself. Wow, the concept of sarcasm and humor is lost on you, isn't it? If you think what you posted was funny, then I'm not the one with the difficulty grasping "humor" here. I mean sarcasm. Wasn't trying to do stand up here. You need to seriously relax. You are wound up pretty tight. Gonna blow something if you don't chill out. My post that you linked to was meant to be a serious post. This was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek statement about all of the fans that are running for cover as the rest of us are going down with the ship.
  5. That is EXACTLY what I am talking about. I'm talking about the guy that everyone knows that wears a different shirt depending on who is ranked highest at the moment. It used to be a Gators shirt. Now its a Noles shirt or Miami shirt. And if they want to appear cutting edge, they might even go with UCF right now. But it is susceptible to changing every week.
  6. I would be interested...I sent you a message. Please let me know if you are interested in selling them.

  8. FYI McNeese is ranked #20 in the FCS. There is a lot more parity between the two than there used to be. You have a lot of great atheletes who don't have the grades to get into FBS schools and wind up playing in the FCS. USF may very well be the worst team in the FBS, so it is not unreasonable to assume that the ranked teams in the FCS are all more talented than we are. We will have a clearer picture by the end of the season...
  9. I don't know... I bet a couple of teams like UConn and Memphis overlook us. <smh> I can't believe I just typed that.
  10. Still can't believe people are judging CWT's capabilities as HC after three games here. Gimme a break. Agreed. The man doesn't even have the personnel to properly run his system. Bill Bellichick couldn't win games with Floyd or Eveld. Holtz left the cabinet pretty bare. Let's just give Taggart one season to figure things out. Does anyone remember the story of when we hosted the FL high school QB camp on campus, and Skip decided to go golfing instead of recruiting? And we wonder why we have no serviceable QB's now...
  11. ...is more bandwagon fans have jumped ship. There may only be true fans left. In related news, I hear Miami, FSU and UCF's fanbases have increased recently...
  12. It's always you jerks, who don't travel, don't go to home games, don't contribute as a donor who are on here incessantly saying we need to accept mediocrity. You "fans" (what joke and why is in quotes) aren't really fans, you're just internet forum contrarians. Oh, and you sicken me with your acceptance of mediocrity. Chumps. I'm new to the board, and I generally prefer to read and not post. But you, sir, are the kind of fan that disgusts me. Who the hell are you to decide who is and isn't a true fan? I have missed very few home games since I moved to Tampa in '06 to go to USF. I have traveled to many road games, including bowls and our historic win against Auburn. I am a season ticket holder who lives 2 hours away from Ray J and still drives for every single game, including the recent debacles. So I think I qualify as a "true fan." But I think you are dead wrong. Woolard has made some mistakes. But at the time, the Skip Holtz hire seemed like a good hire. It turned out terrible. The contract extension was definitely a mistake, but at least he had the cajones to man-up and bite the bullet in firing Holtz. I think the Taggart hire is an excellent one, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to know for absolute sure right now. Bear Bryant himself could not have turned this program around in 3 games. Taggart is a football coach, not a god. I have faith that he will turn things around, but it will take time. I'm not expecting a miracle this year, but that is not the same as accepting mediocrity. That's called having the wisdom and maturity to know that building greatness does not happen overnight. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but attacking others who do not agree with you from behind a keyboard is cowardly and ignorant. If you are so intelligent and know all of the answers, then why aren't you a coach, athletic director or sports journalist somewhere? Why are you wasting god-given insight on a message board? Everyone is frustrated with what is going on, and we all come here to vent our frustration. But to attack the fans is so bush league.
