No...I just went on the Hilton site again and it is still there. 

I just noticed that the rate I got was because I booked the 29th, 30th, & 31st (the rate I said is still available)...but if I just put to stay the 30th & 31st it goes up to $263/night...just come up an extra day!!

I'm at the Hilton City Center...I'm surprised there aren't more staying there.  It is right where the street part is going to be and it was only $149...$129 if you pay upfront (but not refundable).

Did you use points to get that price? I tried booking it and got nothing near that rate.

$263 is the pay in advanced pricing I'm seeing.

I nabbed the Omni Charlotte Hotel for $229.  It's the team hotel and within walking proximity to everything.

if you arrive on the 29th and check out on the 1st you can get the $129 price.

I am also staying at the Hilton City Center.  Priceline that sucker. and you should be able to get it for even one night at this point.

Well - let me see - book 3 nights at 149 for a total of 447 or two nights at 263 for a total of 526 ?  Just don't stay the extra night

Right now we have reservations at the Hilton downtown (not sure we got the best rate, though) and the Omni. I'll check out some of these. Thanks. The Omni is expensive, but the team is staying there.

Best rate was the La Quinta Inn at $54.00 a night... there was a Hampton in the general area though that had rates for $116.00 a night. If you stay 5-10 minutes from the Upptown / Stadium area the prices get a wee bit cheaper.

The only time I will be in the hotel is if I'm sleeping so its location is irrelevant to me... as long as its a 10 minute ride away I'm fine. I plan on doing the bowl stuff and doing some local sights as well.

The La Quinta was still giving the $54.00 rate last I checked... they might had bumped it up by now though.
