Thanks.

I expect this thread will be moved to the prospect board.

The funny thing is that he lists his hometown as Morgantown WVU. It's about time we took a West Virginia kid, considering how many Florida kids have gone to WVU.  ;D

That is an ugly ugly profile. If he's really a die hard WVU fan, how the hell did we get him?

I dig the name

Yeah, we have a Thor and a Sampson. That's a pretty strong combo.  ;)

His dad was a good offensive lineman for WVU. Hope he is just as good:

Collegiate career

When enrolling at West Virginia, Mountaineers' coach Don Nehlen moved Jozwiak from defensive tackle to offensive lineman. Jozwiak not only led the way for West Virginia ballcarriers, but blocked for all-time great Mountaineer quarterback Jeff Hostetler. In 1985, Jozwiak was named a consensus All-American, the sixth Mountaineer ever such honored at that time. He was also named a second team All-American by the Associated Press in 1983.

[edit] Pro career

Jozwiak was selected in the first round, 7th overall of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He played three pro seasons before suffering a career-ending hip injury.

Gainesville Offensive Review

Michael White

COLUMBUS, Ohio - 05/06/10 - The Gainesville NFTC Offensive Review

OFFENSIVE LINE

NIKE Coaches' OL MVP: Thor Jozwiak — 6-2.5, 265, Lake Region (Eagle Lake, Fla.)

Lake Region’s Thor Jozwiak showed some of the best technique we’ve seen all year, some of which probably can be attributed to his father Brian being a former first-round draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs as an OT.  He has everything coaches want in an offensive linemen; toughness, sound technique, deep knowledge of the position and a stellar work ethic. The 6-foot-2.5, 264-pounder took some great reps in one-on-ones as his intensity kept him in battles even if he got himself in bad positions. A very solid player with a bright future who has already picked up offers from Syracuse and Duke.

He also stood out at the UA Jacksonville combine in February:

Thor Jozwiak (Eagle Lake, Fla./Lake Region) has good size and gets after it. He probably projects on the interior on the collegiate level.

This seems like a GREAT pick up! Now we just need mister Lang to pull the trigger on USF and we've got a really good OL class going so far.

He really only has a scholarship offer from us and Iowa State. Im sure he knew the West Virginia offer was more as a courtesy and would rather come some place where he was wanted. Hope he turns out to be awesome, but seems we still are pulling CUSA type recruits. I know Ill get beat up for this, but it is what it is.
