Doesn't look good for attendance this year.  Most of the big games are away.  Hopefully we can get some games over 55k this year, but it will be tough.  Has anyone heard how season tickets are doing?

Attendance will hinge big time on the Florida game. If we pull a huge upset on them, seats will get filled.

If we were to win against Florida?

Next game's attendance = Sell out

NO DOUBT

I agree.  I just hope students and fans show up for the stonybrook game.  It will be holtz's first game as our coach.  We averaged about 53k last year, so hopefully we can come close to that.

Here are my very early guesses:

Stony Brook: 45k (helped by it being Holtz's first game)

WKU: 40k

FAU:45k (in state opponent helps some)

Syracuse: 50k

Rutgers: 50k

Pitt: low 50s

UConn: high 40s

Obviously the games later in the season depend a great deal on how good we (and our opponents) are playing. We'll do fine at the gates against Big EAst opponents but the first few games will hurt the overall average.

StonyB, WKU and FAU should be open to every student that wants a ticket.

EVERY non-season ticket after 12,001.

The game after Florida is 2 weeks later against Western Kentucky......even with a win at Florida it would be hard to see 65,000+ in attendance for that game.

I think average attendance will dip this year because 1) we have 7 games to average against instead of 6 and 2) of our 7 home games, only 4 are against BCS schools and it is hard to see any draw outside of Rutgers and Pitt.

Next year and 2012 should be good though, you have West Virginia and Miami next year and FSU in 2012.
