rutgers as a program will not benefit

they will be a doormat for 100 more years where as in big east they have a chance

I will say this, i think the best thing the big east can do to survive as a football conference is tell ND to join the big east football conference or piss off for all other sports.  This essentially means that the big 10 gets what they want most, and possibly have them stop there.

rutgers as a program will not benefit

rutgers would benefit greatly.  it's the  big 10 that wouldn't benefit.  how many people from new york actually watch rutgers.

You're honestly kidding yourself if you think people from NYC and Long Island care about Rutgers. I lived there growing up and Rutgers wasn't even mentioned when college football was brought.

The one nice season they had in 2006 has long since faded from the publics mind. NYC and LI are professional sport markets and always will be.

Btw, RU did a 8.1 rating in NYC for that UL/RU game.  No other college team including ND has ever put up numbers like that in the NYC market.

Here's a laugher because RU did better than USF in the same bowl game a year later.
