I expected us to see great things from Buie this season, especially with all the attention that is being given to Selvie from opposing defenses.

Buie is garbage.  He won't step up.  Bedford needs to step up and take the starting spot.

I think the DL is doing very well, much better against the run than the pass.

Marshall is obviously the best of the backups at this point.  He may start splitting time with Buie.  Hopefully equal PT as marshall has outplayed buie so far.

Are you first 2 posters watching games?  Buie had some very nice moves in the FIU game and he sometimes gets a very quick start.  The problem is that he doesn't have the closing speed to finish the play.  He's not playing that badly.

It's not Bedford that is behind him, either, it's Craig Marshall, who seems to be playing very well. Chris Robinson made a nice play against FIU as a DE, too.

I agree E.T., it's just been kind of odd not seeing consistent front four pressure on QB's.  Especially considering some of the opponents we've had in the beginning.  Our best outing was against the best team - Kansas.   Do you know why Bedford hasn't seen alot of playing time?

Settle down there chippy, I did not say anything about Buie.

Are you reading my post?! I didn't say he was playing bad!!! I simply said I expected more out of him than what he has shown to date!

I think Buie is doing ok right now. Sure, he does not have the tackles or sacks, but I see him putting some pressure on a lot. So, I am not too concerned about him right now. We need to play Chris Robinson more though in my opinion.
