(March 7, 2007) – The University of South Florida has announced the 2007 women’s soccer schedule, which includes five nationally-ranked teams and seven other squads that earned post-season conference tournament appearances last season.  The Bulls, under new head coach Denise Schilte-Brown, open the season with three exhibition matches, starting with a cross-town opponent, the University of Tampa on Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. USF then travels to Orlando on Aug. 21 to play Northern Illinois on the campus of UCF at 7 p.m. UCF and USF will meet Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. in Orlando for the final exhibition game of the season. The Bulls will be on the road for the first seven regular season games of the year, host a four-game homestand in October, then end the BIG EAST Conference schedule with four on the road. USF’s 17-game regular-season schedule begins as USF travels to DeLand, Fla., to play Atlantic Sun Conference finalist Stetson University. Two days later the Bulls head north to Oxford, Miss., on Sept. 2 to play Mississippi, who earned a berth in the 2006 Southeastern Conference Tournament.  Following the Ole Miss game, USF returns to the Sunshine State to play No. 10/24 Florida in Gainesville on Sept. 7 before a trip to Athens, Ga., to compete against SEC tournament participant Georgia on Sept. 9.  USF then returns to Florida for two more in-state games on Sept. 14 and 16. The Bulls and Miami Hurricanes face off in Coral Gables, then USF will travel to Boca Raton to play the Sun Belt Conference semifinalists, Florida Atlantic University.  The BIG EAST Conference schedule begins Sept. 21 as USF visits Marquette in Milwaukee, Wis. In 2006, Marquette was one of 10 teams to earn a berth in the BIG EAST Conference tournament.  USF will unveil its team to the home crowd on Sept. 28 as the Connecticut Huskies come to town. UConn received votes in the final 2006 NSCAA poll, but was not ranked in the Soccer America poll.  After a Friday night game with the Huskies, USF hops a plane to Rhode Island for a Sunday, Sept. 30 afternoon matchup with Providence, then returns to Tampa for a four-game homestand.  The Bulls first meet the Georgetown Hoyas on Oct. 5, then host Villanova, who was ranked 22nd in the final 2006 Soccer America poll, on Oct. 7. The following weekend, USF welcomes Syracuse on Friday, Oct. 12, and BIG EAST Tournament participant St. John’s University on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 14) for the final two home games of the regular season.  The Bulls end their BIG EAST Conference schedule with four road games, playing two teams who were ranked in the 2006 final polls.  After an Oct. 19 meeting with Cincinnati in Ohio, the Bulls meet No. 22/NR Louisville in Kentucky on Oct. 21. The final weekend of the 2007 season matches USF with No. 14/9 West Virginia in Morgantown on Oct. 26 before the season finale at BIG EAST Tournament participant Pittsburgh on Oct. 28 in Pennsylvania.  2007 USF Women’s Soccer Schedule August 18     University of Tampa (ex.)           Tampa, Fla.          5 p.m.21     vs. Northern Illinois @ UCF (ex.)      Orlando, Fla.         7 p.m.25     at UCF (ex.)                      Orlando, Fla.         7 p.m.31     at Stetson University              DeLand, Fla.         4 p.m. September 2      at Mississippi                    Oxford, Miss.        1:30 p.m.7      at No.10/24 Florida                Gainesville, Fla.       7 p.m.9      at Georgia                       Athens, Ga.          1 p.m.14     at Miami                        Coral Gables , Fla.     7 p.m.16     at Florida Atlantic University         Boca Raton, Fla.      3 p.m.21     at Marquette                     Milwaukee, Wis.      8 p.m.28     No. RV/NR Connecticut            Tampa, Fla.          7:30 p.m.30     at Providence                    Providence, R.I.       12 p.m. October 5      Georgetown                     Tampa, Fla.          7:30 p.m.7      No. NR/22 Villanova               Tampa, Fla.          1 p.m.12     Syracuse                        Tampa, Fla.          7:30 p.m.14     St. John's                       Tampa, Fla.          1 p.m.19     at Cincinnati                     Cincinnati, Ohio       7 p.m.21     at No.22/NR Louisville             Louisville, Ky.        1 p.m.26     at No.14/9 West Virginia            Morgantown, W.Va.   7 p.m.28     at Pittsburgh                     Pittsburgh, Pa.        1 p.m. All game times Eastern

How many plan to be in Gainesville for the Bulls/Gator match-up?
