What does the WV win mean to you ?

I was at the auto auction today buying cars(actually trucks today) and wearing my USF hat.  On three occasions the auctionier(there are 10-15) all called out USF over the mic and then followed up with "nice win over WV.  Man, it is great to be a Bull.  By the way, the auction I go to(Manheim) is in Orlando.

It means that recruits will listen a little more, we will talk a bit more, and hopefully when I go to the stadium there will be a little more fans in the stands!   It also meant that I have had a sh@t-as@ eating grin all week!

Notariety that a million dollars worth of marketing could not approach.

I'm not sure why newspapers continue to harp on us 'losing out' on extra BCS bowl money because of our win.  The win earned us much more than that pittance.

I don't think that was a sure thing by any means.  If Boise had lost then it may have cost the BE but they didn't.

It has benefited USF much more than a couple of the extra 500k or so. The second big East Team would have only gotten 4-5 million. divide that by 8. I'll take the win any day.

it means i get to make fun of all my friends that are from WV or went to WVU for the next year...

It means my Thanksgiving travel was certainly not in vain. It means congrats and pats on the back from virtually everyone in my office (they all know I'm a BULL), calls from friends I haven't talked to in months, texts from people asking "did you see?" (yup! from the stadium!) and holding my head high while seeing tons of Eers on the rest of my travel through WV, VA, and MD. It also means that in 2 years in conference we've beaten EVERYONE in the BE at least once. It's a beautiful look at things to come.

It means the talent is here and has shown up, big time.  It also means we can't let down now.  The bowl game is important in giving us a little more visibility (ie: future point standings).
