I was truly hoping I was wrong, and you could all say, "I told you so," after blasting me for my Leavitt thread awhile ago. I wasn't.

This bowl game was a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT to the team, coaches, school, and

fans. "Well, at least we made it to a bowl." Yeah, whatever.  They were shut out, and looked pathetic with the exception of a few plays here & there - and, possibly the running game.

Julmiste may be the worst Division I football QB I have ever seen. If he is/has been/and will be the best they have to offer you'd think QB prospects from around the country would be salivating to go to USF in hopes of getting their chance to start. Any one, and I pretty much mean that, would be better. The pass from the punter was the best pass all day.

Furthermore, Leavitt calls Stoops to ask his advice on bowl game preparation. Stoops tells him to have 3, 2-a-days for practice. Remember, this is Stoops - National Championship coach - giving this advice. So, what does Leavitt do? Has 2,  2-a-day work-outs, and thinks to himself, "That's enough."

Well, why the hell did he ask for advice if he wasn't going to take it? Was it all his bowl game preparation experience coming into play in the decision to just poo-poo the advice of a national powerhouse Division I football coach? Go figure.

I serioulsy hope this bowl game appearance doesn't hurt recruiting, but I'm afraid it will. I haven't been wrong yet, and doubt I am about that either. Watch players that were thinking about signing with USF start choosing other schools.

Car Care Crap Bowl. Nice game.

Flower it over with it was a great first experience, blah, blah, blah, blah, whatever. And, let me have it that you no longer want me to root for the same team as you if it makes you feel like you're more of a fan than me.

But deep down, you KNOW I'm right that this was simply pathetic, and losing 3 games to end the season is simply unacceptable.

I'll give it one more season for all of you to catch-up to what is already apparent to me (and, smazza - but I won't talk for him) in that Leavitt IS NOT the guy.

Leavitt just needs to get some decent offensive coaches

With the exception of Hall and a few plays by Ponton, our entire offense was cold today. Lets not forget our Oline let up 5+ sacks. One guy alone had 3! Poor poor showing by our OC. Special teams looked ok with the exception of the blocked punt. NO MORE JULMISTE!!! G_D AWEFUL today!

He bought himself a lot of time this year.  However, even though it really would be imprudent to fire him, hopefully he realizes that smith isn't getting it done.  We need to find someone to prepare QB's.  It doesn't have to be steve spurrier, just get someone that can bring us something at that position.

JL knows defense but seems to be clueless with offense.  That's why we need a good OC.  The D played well, seeing as they were on the field for sooo long.

The O-line did it's job. Hall had over 100 yards rushing! It was Julmiste's ineptitude that caused the sacks. Never threw the ball away, stepped up in the pocket at the wrong times. With all the hype NCST defense they were not all that great. We were our worst enemy and have every opportunity of winning this game.

Leavitt is going to end up like Dungy in a couple of years if he doesn't find someone who knows anything about offense. Today was the first time USF has ever been shut out.

I don't agree with you that Leavitt has to roll right now, but you're right on with the pitiful QB play. It's disgraceful that Pat Julmiste has been starting for the better part of three years and that's as good as USF can roll out there on offense.

I say lock Julmiste and Rod Smith in a closet somewhere in the stadium, then get the team out of there real fast and on a plane before someone opens the door.

Need to hire a new OC to bring in a whole new offensive system..........Maybe MB?

It'll be good for our young QBs to learn a new system.  Now is the time to do it before spring practices start.
