I can follow your line of reasoning and respect it. I personally was referencing the comments above mine that seemed like nothing short of hating. I just didn't tag them because I didn't feel like going back and forth.

I personally enjoy big personalities especially when they can back it up. I'm a Kobe Bryant fan. Enjoyed Richard Sherman, Terrell Owens, Allen Iverson,  etc.

So Prime Time to me represents the boldness I wish more people had (when they can back it up). Plus the descriptors change depending on who's displaying said behavior at times. When the person is liked it's  'bold leadership' or 'passion'.  When they're not, they're cocky, arrogant, or selfish.

I don’t hate Deion. He is a great salesman and was a very talented player. Coaching talent still left to be decided.

He went to a well known HBCU and was able to get recruits that his competitors couldn’t get and thus was able to easily Out talent them. Who did he really beat in his stay at Jackson State that had similar or better talent than he did?

He will recruit at Colorado better than previous coaches there, so he will easily get to those 5-7 wins vs teams he will overmatch due to talent. Can he beat the top teams in PAC and other FBS with similar or better talent? That remains to be seen.

Ijust think that just like every other big personality type in our world, many just completely buy into the image that they are perfect and can’t fail in anything they do.

He will add to college football and it will be fun to watch regardless. Whether he is a success or not won’t change any of our lives nor his. In his world he will be seen as Coach Prime regardless.

I am with you, I think he will do okay in the pac12 with ucla and usc leaving. We will see how good of a coach he is, but it will also add some excitement and drama to Colorado football that I have never witnessed in my lifetime.

If he was coaching us most of us would love him, he isn’t so he is an arrogant ass.  Not hating on him, I loved watching him play, show boat and trash talk.  He coached an irrelevant program so never gave him a second thought however now that he is an FBS coach will be paying attention.  It can also be fun to watch a loud mouth fall on his face and part of me is rooting for this and I am not alone.  This doesn’t mean I hate the guy.

Can’t hate the guy for thinking the world of himself and having a high ask.

It was never about hating. It is about a coach that has yet to proven himself at the FBS level. When he beats top 25 teams then I can justify all the hype. Until then it is all just hype imo. That goes for everyone.

This side always exists. It just doesn't feed the narrative and grab the same type of attention.

He must be getting some crazy NIL money to choose them over Penn State or TA&M.  I realize Prime is there, but if they don't begin the season winning games immediately, I think the national intrigue will fade.

they wont win immediately but they will be better than  last year

prime is a good coach.winners win losers lose

Up until this point, he has out-talented other teams.  From here on out, we'll see if he can actually coach.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
