Well, it's not quite that bad... when they win, they tend to average around the same viewers as Purdue or Maryland and more than Illinois or Rutgers.

Once again it isn’t about the students, it’s about access to the market and those BigTen schools playing in Atlanta. I live an hour north of Atlanta and there is a pretty large, deep pocketed alumni group here.

Just a "fun fact" or some useless knowledge to add to the point above, even with Georgia winning the national championship last season, they are at best tied all time with Tech in that regard.  Until last season, Tech had been the latest champion in 1990.  Clean Old Fashioned Hate.
